If you are considering a new project that may damage a tree root system, we can offer tree preservation and protection before, during, and after your project. We hired Artisan Tree Works to remove two trees, prune four shrubs and prune three trees; all at a reasonable cost. Thomas and his crew were punctual, friendly and very, very knowledgeable.
At any point, if the tree becomes unsafe you will want to consider having an ISA Certified Arborist come assess the tree. If the tree is hazardous, have it removed. When we assess the tree we will explain all of your options for either preserving the tree or having the tree removed.

The most common method of stump removal is to use a stump grinder to grind the stump down into small chips. The size of the tree stump - depending on the size of the tree stump it can either be a fairly quick process to grind the stump down. If the tree is larger, it may take a larger grinder a significantly more time to remove the stump.

That is why it is so important to get an experienced Certified Professional arborist to work on your trees. Pruning for health and safety can be done any time of year and should be part of maintaining any mature tree.

The urban environment poses many challenges to the longevity of trees, and as trees mature their value in the urban landscape and our communities increases exponentially. Unfortunately, the average lifespan of a tree in the urban environment is only eight years.

Joshua and his team were fairly price (gave better bid than the competition’s bids), communicated well, and did a great job deadwood pruning a pine and removing an Aspen. They worked incredibly hard and then when all was said and done, cleaned up the areas well and even helped me move some rocks with his equipment that was onsite. I’d recommend them to anyone.

I hired Artisan to look at some trees in need of some TLC at me home. One of the trees, a gnarly old elm, looked to me like it needed to be taken down. After they were done, it looks great and has a new lease on life. The other trees, another elm and a willow, look fresh and cleaned up. Also, by climbing rather than using a bucket truck, I did not have those unsightly tire tracks all over my lawn afterwards. They also raked up the branches and finished up in one day, by the way which was a weekend which fit my schedule. Definitely would use these pros.
