After I found out the person who cleans (now past tense) my apartment tipped over a floor lamp in my livingroom and broke the socket, (of course she didn’t say a word about it) I figured I’d just throw the lamp away. That is what we do in our society now, isn’t it? But then, after remembering I paid $500 for it, I called the company that manufactured it. Surely they would have a replacement part, right? Wrong. Now what? I know, I’ll call a national lamp and shade store, they’ll fix the lamp, right? Wrong again. This is where I get to the point...because asking questions is my specialty
