Services
Our practice was founded in 2002 and we serve the communities of Boston's South Shore, Cape Cod and the South Coast (Wareham). We are dedicated to providing the highest quality medical care for patients with kidney disease. Nephrologists are physicians who are educated and trained in the prevention, diagnosis and management of patients with kidney disease.
Piotr Lazowski, M.D. earned his medical degree from the Medical Academy of Warsaw, Poland. He trained in Internal Medicine at Catholic Medical Center of Brooklyn and Queens in New York and completed his Fellowship in Nephrology at New York University Medical Center in 1996. Dr. Lazowski established his private primary care practice in 2002 in Plymouth, MA.
Our practice has been conducting clinical research since 2002, and has participated in more than 17 clinical trials. We actively recruit patients from our patient population and through outside physician referrals. Areas of interest include Renal Disease, Dialysis, Hypertension, Diabetes, and Metabolic Disorders.
We have two kidneys, each about a size of a fist, located on either side of the spine at the bottom of the rib cage. Urine is produced by the kidneys and it passes from the kidneys into the bladder through two tubes called the ureters. It then leaves the bladder through another tube called the urethra.
