Services
We are a team of licensed psychologists and neuropsychologists in full-time private practice. Collectively, we have over 100 years of counseling experience working with patients from children and adolescents (starting at age 5 and up) to adults in individual psychotherapy, couples therapy, family and group counseling.
Before joining Affiliated Psychological, Lu was a marketing executive in the information technology industry for more than 30 years. She moved to Gainesville from Alpharetta, GA to be closer to her extended family. Lu enjoys working for Affiliated Psychological because it allows her to use her marketing expertise and her people skills to serve her community.
We are located in the Waldrip Real Estate Building that sits in the 90 degree curve on West Academy Street. It is a red brick with stucco arched windows. If you are coming from Jesse Jewell Parkway, turn (right or left) onto W. Academy at the traffic light between the old train engine and the iHOP restaurant.

Dr. Overton is outstanding and this 5 star review is completely because of her. Once you get set up with a psychologist and you don't need to interact with the front desk lady it's a great place to go, but what people are saying about the front desk lady is real, the initial contact is an obstacle. Nonetheless I would totally recommend because the other psychologists seem great too.
