What a great way to see dolphin and manatee! Our captain was so kind and knowledgeable, it made the experience unforgettable. I would caution not to book on a weekend, as the dolphin and manatee were hiding with all the boats out, and we couldn't go to the sand bars for sea shells because they were packed with boats. Even though it wasn't what we expected, it was still a nice boat ride.

Do not do this bay cruise if you want to see dolphins and manatees. You may not see any! Also, the island walk is not a nature hike; it’s really no more than a few hundred feet around one side and then back to the boat. Other than that, it is a nice trip on the bay and educational.
Pros:
1) The boat boards right behind the Mote Aquarium, so if you do the aquarium and the boat tour, it’s the same parking lot and area.
2) The tour guide and captain were kind, helpful, and knowledgeable.
3) There was enough space between people and the ride was not too bumpy.
4) You get a chance to see and

We had a great time. Perfect compliment to the mote aquarium. Very informative about local wildlife and general knowledge of the bay area. Nice boat ride and visit to the island. Our biologist Martha got the kids excited about cleaning up the ocean with her " take 3 for the sea" chant. For the rest of the week my daughter looked for opportunities to help keep the oceans clean. Thanks for making it such a fun expedition and inspiring young people to take care of what we've been given.
