In 1998, Anthony Karabetyan created DNA Entertainment, a disc jockey company that soon became the largest, most recommended DJ & mobile entertainment company on the Monterey Peninsula (for more information please visit dnaent.com). In 2007, clients began inquiring about lighting and staging.
Anthony, along with many of the DNA Entertainment team members, spent months learning about lighting and staging techniques and started offering these services to clients.Clients then asked for pipe and drape, linens, then tables. The rental portion of DNA Entertainment became so extensive that Anthony decided to separate the rentals from DNA Entertainment and create a sister company, Chic Event Rentals.

We rented from Chic for our wedding in Big Sur. Everything was so wonderful from their selection, to their staff, the prices, and the option to come to their showroom to see things in person and make final decisions. The order was delivered and picked up when promised. Our only issue was that an item we had ordered that served more of a decorative purpose rather than a functional purpose, was not recieved. When we arrived to the reception, we were disappointed it was not there, but no one knew it was supposed to be there and everything was fine without it. In the end, they made it right. Highly

Chic events was great for our wedding in the Redwoods. Viri was very responsive and quick to make the changes we wanted. The two men who set up our lights delivered quality, making sure each bulb was functioning and the lights were set in place. The heaters were very warm and high functioning. I would recommend Chic Events to anyone planning an event.

I work for Courtney Lawhon Events. We are based out of El Dorado County. This past week we found ourselves moving a wedding affected by the Caldor fires over to Carmel, CA. We had just 2 days to re-plan. Chic Event Rentals were so quick to respond and help us secure our new rentals. The team that showed up the day of were fast, efficient and kind.
