We are the largest private non-hospital owned family practice in Spartanburg, South Carolina providing leading patient care for individuals and families since 1974. Our experienced providers and staff, range of onsite services and state of the art facility make the difference. Lisa Colasurdo received her Master's degree in the Family Nurse Practitioner program at the University of South Carolina and is board certified by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) as a Family Nurse Practitioner. Mrs. Colasurdo graduated cum laude from Clemson University with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing and has been providing primary care to families in Spartanburg since 2001.
Dr. Knipfer started Family Physicians of Spartanburg in 1981 with Dr. Lee Taylor. Dr. Knipfer received his undergraduate education from Emory University and performed his residency at Spartanburg Regional Medical Center. He has served on numerous medical boards and committees in Spartanburg over the years.
Dr. Mark Miles joined Family Physicians of Spartanburg in 2009. He previously worked in Pacolet S.C. as a physician with the Mary Black Health System. Dr. Miles received his undergraduate degree from College of Charleston and performed his residence at the Carolinas Medical Center- Charlotte. Dr. Miles has a passion for preventative medicine which makes it easier to address problems early on.
Dr. Lee Taylor started Family Physicians of Spartanburg in 1981 with Dr. Mark Knipfer. Dr. Taylor has served on numerous committees in Spartanburg though the years to further the impact of quality medicine delivery here. Dr. Taylor enjoys serving his patients by focusing on preventative medicine. He enjoys all facets of treating patients from newborn to geriatric.
