Anna Maria has been working in our office as a dental hygienist since 2005. Anna Maria is a native of Germany and worked as a Registered Nurse in intensive care in Germany before moving to Portland in 1996. She is compassionate, has a gentle touch, and strives to provide thorough care that is tailored to meet each person's specific needs.
Some people are not comfortable with the effects of laughing gas (either because they are afraid they might lose control or because it makes them feel nauseated - this is quite rare, and is usually due to over-sedation). If you cannot breathe through your nose (either because you are a pure mouth breather, or because your nose is blocked), or you feel too claustrophobic when something is put over your nose, it cannot be used.
Getting a second opinion. Perhaps you have received an initial diagnosis from another dentist, but you are not satisfied. If you want a second opinion on your original diagnosis, we can provide that for you with an emergency exam. If you have x-rays from your original exam, you should bring those with you when you come in.
They are affordable. He personally checks in with his patients after hours! I brought my children here at 4 and 5 years old and although this is not a traditional "children's" dentist office my boys loved it! They are wonderful with my kids and us. The boys enjoy going to the dentist office. Dr. Horn and his staff treats you like family and I wouldn't want to go anywhere else.

From the moment you walk into this dental office, greeted by Joyce, you experience the best dental experience ever. I have had bad experiences in the past at other dental offices. But not here. Everything here was positive. Caring, considerate, professional, by everyone, no pain! I am so thankful I was referred by a friend.

It is always a pleasant experience at Mid-Valley Dental. The hygienist is very thorough and pleasant, as are all his staff. Dr. Horn is very cordial and explains what needs to be done for future visits. The very best part though, is the huge oak tree that I can look at behind their building. It steals the show!

The Doctor, his support tech's and staff were very professional and accommodating. I am not too pleased that the quote I received on my last vidit for the work that was done was increased during check-out without any prior indication that it was going to be higher then indicated when scheduled. Otherwise all seemed to go as planned and scheduled.... Rick

Dr. Horn and his staff are so friendly, attentive, caring, gentle, etc. I could honestly go on and on about how amazing they are. I had not been to the dentist in over 10 years. I am very anxious when it comes to dentists and have had horrible experiences. I was so nervous even calling to schedule an appointment. But even from the very beginning I felt welcomed and comfortable. The staff are just as welcoming and friendly as Dr. Horn. They never made me feel embarrassed or uncomfortable. The staff are friendly. The dentist seems like a real person not a medical robot like some "other" places I have been.
They have a really gorgeous view in the back rooms of this huge tree. It has to be almost a hundred years old. It is massive and each season is just perfectly demonstrated through the large windows.
