My husband and I live in Sherwood, Oregon next to some of the preserved wetlands and you bet we take our two furry loves hiking there almost everyday! I am most in my element while I'm driving slow on some back road somewhere, the windows are rolled down, and I'm singing some silly song at the top of my lungs that I had just made up to excite my puppies. I love breathing in the the fresh country air and harmonizing to old songs on the radio. You should try this with "Good Life" by One Republic.
In order to give my clients the best possible experience, I only book 20-25 weddings a year. Bookings are first come first served - because you'll be hiring me! For more information on availability and collections, please contact me with details. I am based in the Bay Area (San Francisco, CA) but would gladly travel to any destination to capture your wedding day!

Most of our clients book anywhere from a 1-1.5 years in advance as unlike other services where a vendor can drop off your goods or send an associate - you'll be hiring me!

Joie seriously took some of the best photos I have of me ever! I’m obsessed with our getting ready images that I almost opted out of because we’re just not photo people! Because we had the time, Joie recommended stepping in at the tail end of getting ready and captured the ladies and I being silly, them helping me with my hair, and us sharing some beautiful intimate conversations! I never thought these images would mean so much but I love looking back at them now because they really captured some wonderful emotional moments that I would have forgotten!

Joie was amazing! At every point of the process she was really communicative and put me at ease. I am starting a job as a professor and was told I needed high quality photos as someone who avoids the camera as much as possible and also had been in a pandemic hole this was kind of my specific nightmare! Joie was a professional and got an amazing range of photos. I loved working with her and if I have to do any other photos I would work with her again.

We had Joie take our pictures for my daughter's birthday party. I'm an event planner so I like to document events for marketing. Joie was early to our event, was super flexible, and went above and beyond the call of duty to take pictures of different shots for us. My husband and I got married in September, and we absolutely loved Joie's work on the wedding day! I knew that Joie would be a great for our wedding when we sent our first few emails and had the introductory video call. When we came across Joie in March while we were at the early stages of our wedding planning, we found with our phone conversation with her a lot of warmth in her voice and just how easy she was to get along with. She had great questions for us which I found very impressive! I worked with Joie as my photographer for my bridal shower this summer and she was amazing! She is extremely professional, and responded to my questions very quickly. The day-of she did a great job. She arrived early and got so many photos of the decorations and details, many that I was too busy to notice that day. Absolutely LOVED my senior session with Joie. She captured my personality in every photo which is exactly what I going for. I also enjoyed how she used backgrounds, and nature to enhance the shoot My family and I also did a shoot with her at a winery. Joie was incredible to work with and produced fantastic photographs. I could not be happier with the results, especially given the difficulty of planning a surprise engagement she really captured the moment. Joie really captured the beauty of the surrounding area, as well as the moment for us so that we can have these memories forever. Joie was so easy to work with. She helped even from before the shoot with the location and dress choices. Was flexible with driving to our choice of location and was right on time. We did not feel uncomfortable throughout the whole shoot.

Joie was the photographer at our August wedding.
I honestly think an amateur photographer could have produced the same quality of pictures. From what I can tell, no editing was done with our pictures. I had asked her in our initial phone call if she edits the pictures. She reassured me that she does. I think not! One 'small' thing that Really irritated me is that in All of my pictures, my necklace is crooked. I know it may see like a minor detail, but every time I see my wedding pictures, I somewhat grimace at his minor oversight.
