I was having trouble getting the right RX for my contact lenses at my previous eye doctor, so at the recommendation of a friend I decided to go to Dr. Kleen. Right away he was able to get the proper RX and actually listened to my complaints about my eyes feeling dry, something my previous doctor had dismissed. If you are ever in need of a second opinion I totally recommend Carpinteria Eye Care!

Had a wonderful first-time experience here! The service was thorough and the process for the exam was so efficient - I was in and out quickly. Dr. Kleen is professional and clearly an expert in his field. He discussed all my options for my prescription and made sure I got the best deal on my glasses. Will definitely be making him our permanent family eye doctor moving forward.

I recently had an eye exam with Dr. Kleen, and he was very kind and professional. It was an overall good experience, and I would highly recommend him to others. He was very polite and thorough; and kindly took time to thoughtfully explain and show me aspects of my vision using computer generated imagery from my exam. The office staff were very welcoming, and the clinic was clean and comfortable.

I came in during the last 30 minutes before closing and the staff were wonderful. Joe, the optician, was super helpful and took his time to explain all of my options and what my insurance covered. I drove from Santa Barbara after being disappointed with the local selection in frames, and could not have had a better experience. Thanks Joe!

I had a great experience with Dr. Steven Kleen. The office is very nice and and my appointment was quick and efficient. Dr. Kleen was able to improve my vision by fitting me into specialty contacts I was unaware were even available. He explained everything thoroughly and is very professional. I’ll be coming back.
