My name is Aaron Woodward and I am the owner of Pristine Sweeps. I would like to take this opportunity to say thank you for your interest in our business, and welcome you to our "About Us" page! The following tells a bit about my own personal history and education, and how I fell into this wonderful trade of chimney sweeping.
It also explains how this company was founded and on what morals we back our operations. Originally from Seattle, Aaron moved to Roseburg, Oregon at the age of 7, where he went on to complete high school and start a summer painting business. After graduation, Aaron moved to Eugene to attend college and earn a business degree at the University of Oregon.

Services
We are taking the necessary precautions internally and externally to ensure the health and safety of our employees and our customers. Pristine Sweeps has serviced over 2000 chimneys in the Seattle area. We are fully certified by the CSIA, we have the training and experience needed to help make your fireplace and chimney safe and efficient.
Taking care of your chimney and fireplace is one of the most important things you can do to ensure the safety of your home. Like any other home appliance, your chimney and fireplace must be inspected, and regular maintenance should be performed to make sure that it is operating correctly. When a chimney system is not operating correctly, it can be a source of wasted energy, wasted money, and life-threatening danger.
Your chimney is often one of the most overlooked systems in your home. Unfortunately, ignoring a chimney problem or neglecting to maintain your chimney puts your home and family at significant risk. By keeping your fireplace and chimney clean and free of creosote and having your appliance regularly inspected, you can help keep your system burning efficiently and in an eco-friendly manner.
When you enter the world of fireplace or stove ownership, one of the first things you should learn about is creosote. With wood-burning appliances, creosote is always a concern; it's potentially flue-constricting and always highly combustible, and is one of the most consistent contributors to chimney fires.
Even if you make use of your fireplace, insert or stove year-round, there are a lot of things that can happen to the system without your knowledge. Here in Seattle, we get quite a bit of rain, wind and snow, which can seriously deteriorate the chimney's masonry. Not only does water corrode masonry, but it can also cause vegetation and algae to grow on brick and stone.

I am not sure if this company has gone out of business? Back in the summer, I contacted them for a chimney sweep and they let me know they would get back to us in a few weeks for an appointment date. After many calls and messages, I still haven't heard from them. Their VM is now full and after 5+ months of trying to get a hold of them I've given up

I was charged $208 for a person to come to my house for 15 minutes and tell me that because my insert was installed before current regulations laws and they can’t clean my chimney. Very disappointed to be charged what amounts to $800 an hour for nothing without any warning while making the appointment that this was an option.

We had Pristine install a couple of caps to our chimneys a couple years ago. They looked very good and does their jobs. The wind storms this winter blew one off. I called Pristine. They gladly came back, reinstalled it, and didn't even charge me for it. We appreciate their great work and excellent service!

Excellent Customer Service!! Juliet was so incredibly helpful on the phone. Aaron and his team were incredibly efficient. They Took care of all three of our chimneys and pointed out a few areas that we should have a contractor look at. The explanations they gave were fantastic and there attention to detail was impeccable. I highly recommend Pristine Sweeps!

We are so happy with the fast, expert work from Aaron and great communication from Juliet and Aaron. We were fit in for an estimate quickly due to a cancellation, just one or two days after I first reached out to them. We were informed that any work may need to wait until after the rainy season, so I was surprised when they said they could order the piece we needed and were able to install it before New Year's day. Our currently fireplace-less chimney no longer howls and we don't have to wonder if birds and animals are getting in! They also sent very clear before and after pictures, which

I highly recommend Pristine Sweeps. Aaron came to check out an emergency blockage that left our family without heat. He gave us a reasonable quote, explaining each element and why they recommend it. They prioritized our job and got to us a day later. He was quick, thorough, and kept me updated as he worked. He was also just kind and respectful in general. Wouldn't go anywhere else!

I was going to write this review for a while. So couple of years ago I read all wonderful reviews on Yelp and called this company to have my chimney cleaned. I paid around $200, don't remember the amount exactly, for nothing! They came over, told me that my wood burning insert is not certified and they cannot clean it. Charged me full amount for inspection and cleaning and left. Since that time I replaced the insert, another company did it. I will never ever use this company again and I don't feel that all those excellent review are legitimate.

I requested an estimate and received an email response very quickly to set up my appointment. Aaron was right on time and quick with the inspection. He was a good sport with our annoying dog incessantly barking, and us packing up to move out of the house, and I was really impressed with how quickly he completed his report, including photos he had taken, and had the whole thing emailed to us on the spot. He was reasonably priced, helpful, and super prompt with all types of communication. I very much appreciated that during the craziness of a move and getting a house ready to sell. Recommend!

I had my chimney swept by Pristine Sweeps.
To run down my experience:
-I emailed for an estimate and received one promptly - it was broken down into the pricing for coming out/initial inspection and the actual cleaning (if it was needed).
- Their email response time for scheduling was quick and efficient
-They sent out both an email reminder before my appointment and an email invoice afterwards
- Technician was on-time, polite, and made sure that no soot was left behind.
- Final price was below the estimated cost
All-in-all great experience

I was impressed with Andrew from Pristine Sweeps. He came to inspect our chimney, and said that it looked fine overall, with a few minor cracks that will eventually need to be sealed up (once it's warmer). He was very professional, climbed up on the roof to take picture and a good look at our chimney. We have a bit of moisture inside and some cob webs, which he cleaned.
I don't expect a service to be free, but the $153 fee seemed a little steep for not having to do much other than climb a ladder, take a few photos, and move the cobwebs away.
Still--I would recommend them and will likely

Preparing for our up coming move we had a home inspection completed on our house. The home inspector suggested we have our chimney inspected and repaired by a certified technician. Facing a deadline I looked for a reputable company who could complete the needed work in a timely manner. I was able to get a hold of Aaron and he made it out to the house to assess the chimney in just a few days. Aaron assessed the chimney and determined it did not need repair and the home inspector incorrect about their assessment. Keeping his word and business practice Aaron completed the estimate for free!!! He never
