My love for mid-century modern furnishings began at a young age. My grandfather was a prominent art publisher in New York and my grandmother was an accomplished artist. Their house was a pleasant mix of mid-century modern, family antiques and Impressionist art. I loved spending time in my grandfather's den.
It was custom designed in rosewood paneling, with shelving by Herman Miller and sported comfy Eames chairs. This early exposure to both art and objects led me to a summer course at New York City's Parson's School of Design at the age of 16. I loved what I learned that summer. As a result, I decided to pursue a career in art.
