Our physicians specialize in the diagnosis and treatment of a broad array of skin disorders. The most common problems addressed are skin cancers, benign skin growths, eczema, psoriasis, acne, mole evaluation, and rashes. Our physicians specialize in the treatment of skin conditions in children. Skin disease can present differently in children as compared to that in adults.
Dr. Sherwood Barefoot founded Greensboro Dermatology Associates (GDA) in 1947. As the demand for dermatologists increased, new physicians were added. Dr. Hugh Fraser in 1964, Dr. Frank M. Houston in 1970, and Dr. W. Harrison Turner, III in 1976.
Dr. Laura Lomax joined the practice in 1989, Dr. Daniel B. Jones in 1993, Dr. Drew A. Jones in 1996, Dr. Amy Y. Jordan in 2002, Dr. Robert G. Goodrich in 2006, Dr. Susan E. Stinehelfer in 2009, and Dr. Walter R. Whitworth in 2014.Dr. Barefoot retired in 1982, Dr. Fraser retired in 1994, Dr. W. Harrison Turner, III retired in 2012, and Dr. Frank Houston retired in 2014.
