Services
Though we're located in the northernmost region of Vermont, the area is in close proximity to fine restaurants, premier live entertainment and Quebec. In fact, we're just a 1 1/2 hours drive to Montreal, QE. The lake is one of Vermont's three International lakes, stretching 27 miles in length into Quebec.
Camping is a lot of fun and economical, especially when there's plenty of room to enjoy the outdoors. At Barrewood, you'll have the opportunity to camp with some elbow room. Campsites also enjoy adjacent woods and Taft Brook, area wildlife, campfires, along with our amenities to help make your stay comfortable and enjoyable.
Reservations are tentative until confirmed. Please indicate whether you would be interested in a site for an RV or tent, as well as how many campsites you would like to reserve. We stayed 06/13/21 for 5 wonderful days of camping, swimming, hiking and adventuring through the small villages in the area. The owner Mark could not have more gracious and he runs a clean and tidy campground. The sites are large and level and the rates are low especially if you’re a Passport America member.

Worst 'campground' ever! First off, not even what could be called a campground......it's a FIELD with hook-ups. Nobody staffing the office...just a note saying "pick any spot but some are reserved for later this week"....really?....which ones?....you expect me to move? Owner was like no owner I've ever encountered.....RUDE AND VULGAR with no concern for clients. He FINALLY showed up 6 hours after my arrival, completely unappologetic until I voiced my displeasure at his attutude and operation. His reaction, swearing at me in front of oyher campers! I'll be warning others to steer clear of this joke

We look forward to spending time every year at one of Vermont's best campgrounds, Barrewood. We love the views, the quiet woods, the babbling stream and waterfalls. It's got all the amenities and is close to Jay Peak where there is alot of family things to do and see. Most of all, we love the well kept, clean, camper friendly atmosphere that Mark, the owner provides for us. Our Golden Retriever, Murphy loves it too!
