When Joel and Cindy Engel began their careers in real estate nearly 30 years ago, the local landscape and real estate practices looked quite different from today. Joel is President of The Engel Group and REALTOR at Compass. He is a past president of the Real Estate Alliance of Livermore. Joel has mentored hundreds of agents over the past 2 decades, is a leader in the community, and has been voted "Most Professional" by his peers. Joel enjoys analyzing market trends so that he can assist his clients in making smart real estate decisions that meet their needs.
Cindy is Vice President of The Engel Group, and a broker-associate at Compass. She is certified as a Fine Homes International Specialist, as well as a Relocation Specialist. Cindy has consistently been awarded the honor of Top Producer, but will tell you her greatest achievements are referrals from happy past clients.
Nicole is a mompreneur turned real estate agent! She joined The Engel Group as a partner and sales associate after her marketing company was acquired. Nicole spent the last decade training and speaking to over 200,000 real estate agents nationwide. During that time she created educational programs for the National Association of Realtors, as well as for every major real estate brand.
Robyn, a former client and proud Livermore resident, excitedly joins the Engel group this year. She worked previously as a teacher and school administrator in several districts including the Pleasanton Unified School District. She has over 10 years of experience in the education industry, working as both an educator and administrator.

I would not use Joel Engle or his wife Cindy of J Rockcliff Realtors ever again. Very incompetent. Too slow & too old for us. They took five weeks to put our house on the market by which time the market had shifted. They also, nickel & dimed us in the process of getting our house ready. We lost a lot of money with this team.
In fact we would not use their company J Rockcliff either. When, we tried to get their management to intervene, they refused. Very bad; very disappointed.

Imagine being in a state of panic being told the rental you've been living in for years is being put up for sale out of your price range. After reaching out to several real estate agencies (most never even responded ). Barbara Benotto stepped up to the plate and walked us from looking for rentals, pairing is up with a finance person, driving us around to view several homes to helping us find our new home in about 45 days! Wow! That's what most people in Livermore say! With asellers market, she looked out for us!! She even made a welcome sign and a key with beautiful ribbon so as not to lose it

Real Estate agents are a dime a dozen, so what makes The Engel Group the best? If it's not for their extensive knowledge of the entire Tri-valley, competent and assertive way of handling transactions, or their organized & wonderful communication skills, it MUST be the respect and on-going support they provide to their clients. They helped us find our very first home & recently used their expertise again as our family has grown. We could not be happier with the way they handled every transaction, making it as stress-free as possible. No wonder they are well known in the Real Estate world

My wife and I have known both Cindy and Joel since 2004. In 2004, they helped us buy a great house in Pleasanton. They were understanding of our needs, were incredibly patient through the process and helped us find the perfect house for us at the time.
Fast forward 7 years and 2 kids later and it was time to find a house which matched our growing needs.
