Callalily Studios is a full service photography studio in downtown Stamford, CT led by Stamford photographer Cara Gilbride. These images capture the culture of the business, the people clients interact with, as well as a visual explanation of the services offered. Based on the previous photo shoot, I knew I could expect impressive artwork, but what I didn't imagine, was the emotional experience of being photographed as a family.

Services
I am Cara Gilbride and I am the lead photographer and owner of Callalily Studios in Stamford, Connecticut. Born in Brookyln, NY and raised in Queens, NY, I call myself a city girl with a beach spirit. Thanks to the influence of my mother, an art teacher, and my father, an architect and entrepreneur, I was able to develop an appreciation of art and great design.
We leave a large portion of the day to work with you and your little one so there is time for feeding and changing as we capture the poses you desire. From the first meeting, we will discuss your final artwork goals so we can create timeless pieces to share for generations. Ideally, you should schedule your newborn's photo shoot in your last trimester to ensure a spot has been reserved for you on the schedule.
From a cozy, backyard wedding to the 200 person large venue, we will bring you back to your special day and remind you of every detail. Our Mitzvah events have looked different this year but the pride of the child and welcoming from the Jewish community is still as strong as ever. Have a drink and enjoy the party you worked so hard to plan. it is time you dress up and get in some photos!
For headshot photography, it is best to wear something neatly pressed. I recommend wearing solid colors and steering clear of anything with stripes or loud patterns. Feel free to bring outfit choices or even outfit changes. I will give my recommendations as to what outfits would achieve the best results in your headshot photoshoot.

Callalily Studios is my go to for Personal as well as Professional headshots and Architectural - Interiors Photographs. What I love about her style is that she is old school - checks lighting levels and takes photos that do not need much editing. She has taken challenging photos for me - including dark painted rooms and all white rooms and somehow the photos capture it all well. For personal photos - I have gifted her services to clients and friends - some quite awkward in front of the camera and she makes them feel completely relaxed. Highly recommend.

We hired Cara to photograph our daughter's wedding and she did so much more than arrive that day to photograph. She offered help with finding someone to do makeup and hair. She offered suggestions on location - taking the couple off site for a pre-ceremony shoot in a nearby park. She was professional and really took charge in a friendly, upbeat way.

Quite simply, Cara is amazing... Amazingly talented, amazingly experienced (corporate, private events, family portraits, headshots, dog photos!), and amazingly responsive! I keep her in mind whenever I'm talking to my PR clients and they mention they are creating a new website or are planning an event for the media. Highly recommended!
