The Origin of Equa Corporation goes back to the 1960's when our founder and president, Joe Ciulla became a heavy equipment operator, welder and mechanic.
Joe's father was a Teamster for 38-years and as a boy, Joe would join his dad in his tractor-trailer on the road. After attending college for civil engineering, Joe started his own construction business in 1972 and became a major earthmoving, underground utilities and demolition contractor in northern New Jersey and New York.
