When I was growing up, I lettered in several sports. I also worked with my grandfather, who is a carpenter. We enjoyed straightening out things that were crooked, and I came to appreciate proper structure - whether it's in the bones of a house or the bones of a human being.
Orthopedic surgery was very appealing to me because of its structural nature and its ability to help people overcome painful, often debilitating conditions and injuries - in other words, to straighten them out. When I became an orthopaedic specialist, I also made the commitment to research the latest surgical techniques and give my patients the most effective care possible.

When arthritis or trauma causes pain in your shoulder, knee or hip and other therapies don't provide relief, you may have to consider a total joint replacement (over 500,000 of these are performed in the United States each year!). In that event, you'll want an orthopedic surgeon with the training, skills and resources to treat your condition.
The knee is a very mobile hinge joint in the human body. It's designed with a complex arrangement of structures working together to provide the crucial leg movement needed for daily life. Trauma or repetitive stress can easily damage or destabilize the knee structures, leading to "wear and tear" arthritis known as osteoarthritis.

I am extremely pleased with Dr. Walker as a Orthopedic surgeon but even more so as a person and patient advocate. Things have not always gone the way we both both planned (thanks to COVID) but Dr. Walker has consistently been a strong advocate for me and I know that he genuinely cares about me. He spends as much time with you as you want and makes sure that you are at ease with everything.

Mr. Walker has an excellent bedside manner. His team seems to be happy when working with him. There is always a little bit of a wait but free water and cable entertain us in the waiting area. The strand alone hand sanitizer stations are ALWAYS out of hand sanitizer so this is why I pulled one star from the rating. They do have small hand sanitizer units you can ask for at the window. It's flu season and the only access to the restrooms is behind the secured area doors suppo you have to wait to wash your hands. I may be more concerned than others but after opening the doors to buildings, then his

Amazing doctor, as a nurse I had to change to him because I didn't trust my first doctor. I was glad I did. Good bedside manner, God fearing very respectful of his patients and most importantly pays attention to detail. I had to pay out of pocket to see him because he was not in my network. If I had to do it again it was worth every dime.

I scheduled a visit with Dr. Walker on Jun 24, 2015. Appointment was for 1:45PM..I was asked to do an X-Ray of my knees before even seeing the doctor. I was in Exam room for about an hour waiting to see Dr. Walker when his assistant stepped in to ask if I wanted something to drink while I waited. I explained that I needed to return to work and couldn't wait all day. She said she would see if one the other Doctors could see me. After a about 10 minutes more waiting the assistant returned and said Dr. Walker wasn't in the office, he was at the ER and they had expected him to return before my appointment

Dr. Walker is a consummate professional. I've had multiple ankle injuries and I've visited several specialists over the years due to injuries from competitive tennis and running. Dr. Walker is conscientious and thorough in his treatment. Excellent physician and staff. I'm now on course for full rehabilitation and lifestyle. Couldn't be more pleased.

Dr. Walker is an excellent surgeon and is a great doctor to help you with the transition back to full capacity. I broke my wrist in November and I have experienced very little pain. My wrist bone healed completely within a couple of months. Dr. Walker also referred me to an excellent Doctor of Physical Therapy, who made the transition seamless. What started out to be a bad break and a terrifying situation turned into a positive experience, thanks to Dr. Walker. I recommend that you see Dr. Walker, conveniently located in Dallas near Medical City, when you need hip or knee replacement or you have

LONG REVIEW, BUT PLEASE CONSIDER READING! I would not recommend Dr. Walker based on my personal experience. I chose him because he had "4.5 stars" and close to home. I understand it's not the doctor's fault for long wait times since patients arrive late and set appt’s back, but I waited 45 min 1st and 2nd visit, then literally 1 hour and 45 minutes at follow up appointment. UGH! At least give me a heads up that I have a long wait time. I felt like I, the patient, had to lead my own appointment instead of feeling like the doctor led it, and initially, Dr Walker did not read my xray that I got

I originally selected this doctor because of information listed on his website which appeared to be great testimonials of his work. This was so not the case for me - TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE.
I arrived early for my appointment to be greeted by the staffs announcement that the doctor would be arriving 2 hours later. Still wanting to be on time I return the staff checked me into the room to see the doctor an 1 hour later the doctor is still a NO SHOW. Wasted four hours waiting for doctor in which his staff appeared to be clueless as to if he was going to show up.
This seems to be a starting trend
