Services
I am Thad Bartley, the owner of Bartley Funeral Home. We opened our doors in December of 1998 and since that time we have had the distinct honor of serving the families of Plainview in their most grievous and difficult hours. The staff at Bartley Funeral Home has changed over the years but the quality of service and dedication to the families we serve has not.
We understand that making the many decisions which come at a time of loss can be difficult. We offer our support by providing you with two options as you consider making immediate arrangements. With online Arrangements, you can take your time to select the arrangements which are best for your preferences and budget.
Most of us plan ahead in life. We plan for our wedding, our children's education, family vacations, and other significant expected life events. We also plan for the unexpected events of life by purchasing home, auto and medical insurance. Understanding the benefits of pre-planning has prompted many to take the step to plan their own arrangements.
Many who have undergone the emotional strain of arranging a funeral within hours of losing a loved one have made the choice to pre-plan their own funeral. Doing so lifts the burden from their loved ones by relieving decision-making pressure at a time of grief and emotional stress. Funeral arrangements are a deeply personal choice.
Most of us are not prepared to plan and carry out a funeral ceremony for someone we love. And so much of the information available on this critically important subject fails to focus on what is most important: having a personalized, meaningful funeral that helps families and friends begin the healing process of mourning after the death of someone we love.

Extremely unprofessional!!! You have any other means of going somewhere else do it!! Kailee who’s the go to acts like a child and scattered all over the place. We paid for a death certificate and she gave it to someone else!! When we call to tell her she hung up on us then blocked our number and refuses to answer the phone. She spelled names wrong, and placed the wrong birthdate in the obituary! Gave her instructions on hair and makeup and the day before she calls and asked what to do! Don’t waste your money here cause you will not get your money’s worth.

They did a wonderful job when my Dad passed in 2011. And when my brother passed May 2016 they also did an excellent job. Would recommend them every time. And a shout out to Jerry Chappa I hope I spelled his name right. But he was so nice and thoughtful. Thank you again Mr. Chappa for making us all feel comfortable during out time of loss.

Very disappointing!! After the family only viewing they were no where to be found to close the casket. Family member had to close it. Did not sit pallbearers on the right side at church. Did not even know how to get people out of church. They just walked out and pastor had to dismiss everyone! About the only good thing they did was give us water at cemetery. Very unprofessional! My family and i would not recommend them to anyone!!!
