She received her Bachelor of Science from the University of Massachusetts Amherst in 2001. Dr. Dias spent several years in the exciting world of stem cell research before deciding to pursue a career in veterinary medicine.
We are excited to have seven exam rooms, a cozy cat corner in our waiting room, patient recovery in our induction area, and ample parking just to name a few. All of our enhanced features were created with our patients and clients in mind. Even though we are not in our New England style house any more, we know you will still feel at home.
Even though the Northampton Veterinary Clinic is not a shelter, we often come across animals that are in need of a new forever home. They may be our client's companion and they can not care for them anymore or these animals may be part of our Helping Paws Fund. If you would like more information or would like to fill out an adoption application please call us at (413) 584-6309.
At the Northampton Veterinary Clinic always want to help animals with veterinary care who do not have owners to help care for them. We give back in a variety of ways and here are a few examples. We established the Helping Paws Fund in order to assist special animals that are in need of medical assistance.

My 16year old beloved dog was at the end of his life. I called to talk to a vet for advice…not sure if my dog was in pain because of his distress. Was not allowed to talk to a vet…apparently they were too busy…only allowed to talk to a technician…who told me false information. Your pet can be buried in a pet cemetery…they said…no he could not…I found out the day he was euthanized. Let’s talk about that day. I was told to call when I arrived so that I didn’t have to wait in line inside. Call when you arrive and we will take you into a private entrance so you do not have to wait

Always professional and compassionate. When I was navigating through my dog's mysterious illness, Dr. Lori Paporello was put on the case. She was extremely dedicated and would hold phone conversations for as long as necessary. When money became an issue, she was absolutely understanding and provided very good alternatives that worked. Unfortunately, my dog passed away at the emergency vet in Deerfield. Dr. Lori Paporello called me and gave me sincere condolences and clarified what happened to my sweet boy when I asked. She listened to me as I explained my grief and gave me words of wisdom regarding

We love Dr. Barnes. We have had an amazing experience here, even with covid they still have been super on top of everything! Dr. Barnes has been with my boy since he was a puppy! She had always been consistent and been able to follow up with us. The vet techs are always super awesome and make sure we knew what to expect with the puppy.

Excellent service from the moment I step in the office to the end of my pets appointment. Ladies at the front desk are efficient, cordial and just super cool. My pets are handled and cared for by very knowledgeable, kind and understanding staff that take their time to question, explain and inform us. What a great place to take your pets too. Thank you for such a positive experience every time we go.
