Hear directly from some of our students how Sullivan has changed the trajectory of their lives. Check out the PDF below to see the new schedule and procedures for returning to the building. Sullivan has a full digital media program, including awesome student resources like a recording studio, professional photo and video equipment, and software.
Despite the differences in backgrounds and language barriers, our students have found unity through athletic teams at Sullivan. In this video, New York Filmmaker, Anthony Pellino, documents the stories of our players and our 2016 Regional Championship victory. We partner with a number of organizations that help enrich the learning experience at Sullivan.

At Sullivan, we changed the way we looked at instruction. We changed the way we looked at curriculum. We start with the kid in mind. We start with who our students are as a class, who they are as individuals. And then we start to plan our instruction, look at our curriculum and try to meet the needs of the students but also meet their passions, where they are and what they're interested in each day.
Why is the Student-Teacher relationship so important? A positive relationship may not lead to academic success but will form strong bonds that will encourage better performance. Why did you choose to work at Sullivan? The CTE Health Science Academy attracted me to join Sullivan High School. It blended with my background and was a prospect to deliver my passion of giving back to the community.
See the chart below for our modified block schedule. Every-other class period is longer. Transition/passing periods are 5 minutes. Each day will end with a short Office Hours time for students/parents to check-in as needed before ending the school day. Call our Technology Coordinator, Mr. Slaughter, between 9am - 3pm on school days or email him to get support.
The health center's purpose is to deliver improved physical and mental health outcomes to our students, faculty and students' families in order to improve student academic outcomes while saving healthcare delivery system resources. We provide access to evidence-based basic preventive and primary care, behavioral health care, urgent care and chronic disease management and drive utilization of the most effective and efficient interventions.
At the end of the 19/20 school year, The Sullivan counselors will have supported the school in raising our overall attendance rate from 87% to 90% by supporting students in their social/emotional needs, academic needs, and postsecondary plans. We will lead and support the Behavior Health Team, the Grade Level Teams, and complete weekly check-ins with the attendance dean.

Loved this school. The students there were bullies but the teachers and staff were on point. I miss the days where my counselor was so cool I would talk to her everyday. Every study hall. I can't remember her name but I remember her spirit. I hope you are reading this and I hope you remember me. You are special.

I came freshman year and it was SO GOOD THE BEST YEAR OF MY LIFE! Just Stay quiet and out of drama focus on your school work and you will be alright! There are a lot of African Americans WHICH I LOVE, being I am half so the atmosphere was GREAT! Not really any fights but security is always around to break it up. I love this school so much I transferred and wish I could go back.

I finished my Senior year of High School here. The day of my graduation when I received my diploma they had put my name on there incorrectly using my second middle name which I do not go by, I asked them to fix it, they said they would have to send it back and that they would have it within a month or two. It is now going on 5 years since then and I have yet to receive my revised copy. 5 years of me calling, stopping in, asking for my Diploma, 5 years of complete inconvenience, aggravation and negligence.

What a horrible school, I attended for part of my 3rd grade year. Thank God we moved from the slums of Chicago to the suburbs of Delaware. At Sullivan I was placed in remedial courses by the horrid Mrs. Brown. (wonder if she's even still alive) When I arrived in Delaware, the teacher actually called my parents to discuss my transfer records since they didn't mesh with my performance. I feel for any child that goes to such a poorly run school with less than competent instruction.
