Evelyn's Bakery was originally opened in 1984 in Portland, Oregon by Lee and Irma List. For 24 years the bakery was operated by the family, the majority of the time in the well known "little yellow house behind a car wash." It was a sad day for many. However, Lee and Irma's daughter, Evelyn, who grew up in the business since she was four, has continued making quite a few products by special order.
She has set up a "pick-up location" several times, usually during the holidays, and has taken orders online. She also hopes to participate in more bazaars and boutiques in the future. Due to her growing family and being in the midst of the "baby years", Evelyn has decided not to continue a retail location at this time.
