The business was originally called Catered Linens and was started in Tahoe City, California, in 1990. Family owned and operated since 1994, I continued its operation out of Truckee, California, until I moved to Vining, Minnesota, in 1999. While In Truckee, we sub-rented linens to other Party Stores in Truckee, Reno and Carson City, Nevada.

We just had a wedding and reception at the lake and used Area Lakes Party Rentals for tents, chairs, tables, dance floor, and table linens. Delivery, set up, and clean up went smoothly and the workers were respectful and polite!

Services
Area Lakes primarily does pricing on a situational basis. This way, even if you have a straightforward request for an event, any follow-up questions can be addressed too! For an additional fee, we can take care of set-up and takedown for tables and chairs, scraping and rinsing for rented china and silverware, and clearing and handling of all linens.
We offer unrivaled service on our wide selection of high end, top quality tents. They are clean, without holes and scuffs, and their sturdy material stands against wind gusts that would otherwise make thinner tents blow over. If there is something you need that we do not have in our inventory, we will try our best to locate it for you. Tables and chairs will be stacked at your site; setup for table and chairs will be an extra charge per hour. For information on optional add-ons, check our Services page. We will stack your equipment where our vehicles can park, and we will pick it up from the same location after your event.
