The owners/managers were decidedly unfriendly. They had no ice for Labor Day Weekend??!!? Had to buy their wood, which was SUPER EXPENSIVE! (Although seasonal campers had "outside" wood - and NYS Law states wood can be moved up to 50 miles and should be sun dried OR kiln dried.)
They charged my 80 year old mother $10 visitor charge to stop to pick up my dogs which they demanded couldn't stay, and to return the nextorning for breakfast. She used none of the amenities and was there for less than an hour.
I will never go back to this place. They clearly don't want weekend campers.

It is a lovely woods. Tent sites actually have grass and can have water and electricity. But they overcharged us, the bathrooms were disgusting, and the "office" is only open 12-4 so that is the only time to get ice and firewood. It takes an hour to go somewhere else to get these things - place is close to nothing. Owners bullied the younger adults in our group and while insisting on a 5 mph speed limit had no issues with people running chainsaws at 6 am. I would not stay there again or recommend it.

This is the worst place on earth to camp . They do all business with email so you send a request for a site and they take half the money . The cancellation policy starts off with full refund if within a certain time and at the end it states if it’s a special week or event it’s not refundable no matter how far in advance you cancel . They are a bunch of thief’s and I’d rather camp at bagdad airport you will be treated better .

If I could put zero stars I would. Not only is this business absolutely awful to their customers, when you turn them into Better Business Bureau for unethical business practices, they accuse you of being harassing.
My husband and I booked a site for a weekend in July of 2020 for a Dave Matthews concert at SPAC. Well in 2020 everything got canceled. So we contacted the campground and had our reservation moved to the weekend of the Dave Matthews concert reschedule for 2021. Well low and behold, 2021 came around and the concert was again rescheduled due to covid and rescheduled for September 2021

My family and i went for a long weekend, a rainy weekend! so we didn't get to explore the whole campsite. i can't say we're a PRO with camping, but this is the first time (and it was a shock!) that we had to pay for shower water (cold freezing water that is!) yes, the campsite is very peaceful and people are nice.

Buyer beware of deceptive business practices.
We have not stayed at this campground and will not. Reservation process is through the website only. Filled out the form and submitted in the meantime found a campground and took reservation over the phone. The next day got a message that Whispering Pines also had a site for us and charged 50% of a 10 day stay. We immediately cancelled the reservation by phone and email, was informed that the deposit is non-refundable. I understand that a 1 day charge but 5 days is unacceptable.

Before I go any further: this review and rating are based on just TRYING to speak to someone at the park - it is not based on our stay, because we never got that far! I found the park on the web, and filled out the reservation info on line. I never just leave it at that; I always call to confirm my reservation, ask a few questions, and make a human connection. The park was closed for the season; I had to wait a few weeks until it opened again. Once opened, however, I could never get a live person on the phone. I tried every extention, every number, at different times of day and night. NO human

Bathrooms are barely functional, at best, smell horrible, no soap. Showers lack hot water, if they work at all. Water out of the spigot is brown. We washed the same load of clothes 2 x and they still smell horrible. I had to take them to a laundromat for a 3rd washing to get properly clean. Over all we spent around $10 in Quarters for nothing.

We loved the big and spacious campsites. A few recommendations to make it better:
1. Some gravel or something to make the sites cleaner, especially with all the rain. Or a wooded patio something other than dirt as even our outdoor carpet was not enough to help. Just a thought.
2. I understand the potholes in the exit lane could be fixed at this time, but some warning signs as they were filled with water and you could not see how big some of them Were and a couple were big and deep. Or even a reroute through the entrance lane until they could be fixed.
Overall, it a nice campground especially

Campgrounds cheated me and my friends out of about $200!! We went there for all three nights of the Phish show. I bought 6 spots for one campsite for all three nights. First night, three of use checked in and got our wrist bands. Fourth person came about an hour later to check in, so I had to be present for him to get his wrist band. She couldn't find it in their box (their system of keeping track of everyone was a box full of wristbands with our campsite number wrote on the back), so she just grabbed one from another place. ADVICE: If this happens to you - make sure they have the Rest

We stayed here for one night for a concert at SPAC. The check-in was easy, although I thought it was a little pricey for one night of tent camping. The bathroom with the showers was very clean and although you had to pay to use the showers ($.50/4 minutes), the water was warm and again, they were clean. We were in site 53, which was about a 3 minute walk to the showers. We didn't get to spend much time at the actual campground, but there was a small pool and recreation area that looked nice. Overall, the experience was positive. I'd probably check around at other campgrounds just to price

Great place to stay when catching a show at SPAC.
Stayed here for 3 nights during the Phish run. Our campsite was wooded and large, the facilities were well maintained.
Overall the owners did a great job accommodating the 500+ campers - AND provided a coach bus that dropped us off right at the entrance to the venue ($15 per person RT). A great way to avoid the hassle of driving to the show.
Thanks for a great weekend, we would definitely stay here again.
