Barbara is a highly skilled and intuitive practitioner, and I am so impressed with her services. She creates a lovely and safe environment, and uses excellent tools and products. She takes care to ask questions and listen to get a comprehensive history and understanding of current symptoms. She responds thoughtfully with treatment that incorporates multiple modalities of technique. Barbara also provides excellent resources and advice that have helped me carry forward the benefits of her work. I highly recommend her!

I was recently referred to Barbara by my naturopath due to migraines, abdominopelvic symptoms and fertility treatment. Barbara not only listened thoughtfully and treated me with a loving massage but also taught me how to treat myself at home and sent me loads of valuable educational material via email. Her blog has a wealth of beautiful information also. She reminded me of my body's innate ability to heal itself as well as the power of gratitude for all of the many functions it performs. I highly recommend her!

Barbara is honestly fantastic. I've seen her as a client (best body work I've had!), and since then, every patient I've sent to her was equally impressed. She is a magician when it comes to calming gastrointestinal symptoms, pelvic complaints and general stress & body aches.

I probably have received approximately 6 1.5 hour massages with Barbara to date. Her massage space is quiet and clean and feels very safe. Her massages are incredibly healing, and yes, nurturing. I also feel that she specifically tailors her massages to my body's particular needs based on her many years of training, expertise and hands-on experience as well as her strong intuition and listening skills. She herself is calm, centered, quiet and very present during the massage in a very honoring way. After my massages, I always feel profoundly relaxed, integrated, reenergized, whole and

It has been some time since I have seen Barbara. But I had to stop and write a review when she popped up on Yelp.

I had several different types of treatments and types of massage therapies with Barbara. I don't even know how to begin to describe how healing these sessions were for me. The only word that comes to mind is "profound". Not only did I feel calm, I felt calm like never before. Some of the treatments helped me with severe physical pain, some with emotional pain. If it sounds like I am exaggerating, please let me assure you that I am not.

Barbara is so incredibly knowledgeable

When most people think of massage, they think of the lay on your belly and have someone rub down your shoulders and back like in the movies. Well I've got good news for you, massage is not what you think, it's better!
We now refer to massage as "Massage Therapy" or "Bodywork" and it's facilitated by a Massage Therapist, not performed by a Masseuse, and there is a great plethora of therapies to choose from for whatever ails you.
Nurturance is such a place where you can receive a vast array of Massage Therapy Modalities and Barbara Loomis is a very knowledgeable
