Office waste paper is used to make new products such as bathroom tissue, writing paper and cereal boxes. A used aluminum can is recycled and back on the grocery shelf as a new aluminum can, in as little as 60 days. Plastic beverage containers are made into clothing, carpeting, luggage, film, and new food and beverage containers.
Earthworm recycles the computers it collects through the WR3A network of environmentally conscious businesses. Earthworm is a local, mission-based nonprofit organization that was founded in 1970. Our goal is to lower the hurdles that businesses face when they seek to establish recycling programs for paper, bottles and cans, and office electronics.

Services
Earthworm's mission is to promote recycling in the workplace. We accomplish this by providing a collection service that is easy for first time recyclers to implement. Also, by reducing barriers to recycling through friendly assistance, flexible programs and affordability, Earthworm enables small businesses and others who are underserved by the private sector to establish office recycling programs.
Earthworm collects and recycles most paper that is generated in the workplace. See the chart below for a list of what we can and cannot recycle. Or better yet, call us and we will be happy to explain all of our services and pricing. Our trucks make regular pick ups throughout the greater Boston area.
Earthworm sells high quality recycled copy paper in order to help you "Close the Recycling Loop." When you close the loop you stimulate markets for recyclables. Strong markets ensure the continued reuse of scrap materials. Our prices are competitive with office supply stores and to further encourage you to buy recycled, we waive paper collection fees when you purchase recycled copy paper.
The benefits of the reuse of manufactured goods far surpass the benefits gained through recycling. In fact, reuse is often described in terms of the triple bottom-line (environmental benefit, economic benefit and social benefit). Earthworm is always on the lookout for good homes for reusable products and has active partnerships with other local, reuse organizations.
Everything goes somewhere. Socks don't actually disappear in the laundry and solid waste doesn't disappear after leaving your sidewalk or recycling bin. Knowing where all of the waste that we create goes is one step toward environmentally responsible citizenship. Subsequently altering our behavior is the more important step, but let's start with the knowledge bit.

Great company, I used them for years at my previous employer in Chestnut Hill, MA to recycle old computer equipment. I just used them at my new employer in Boston and they are still a great company. The people that come to pick up the recycleables are courteous and very hard working. Corporate is very good at keeping an open line of communication and meeting the needs of their customers. Would recommend to anyone especially in IT who needs recycling of old electronics.

My company, The James W. Flett Co., Inc.,
has been using Earthworm for our recycling, since 2003 (ish). They are wonderful people providing a great service for a reasonable price...what more can I say? Always pleasant to deal with and are very reachable and are right on time when they visit!
I could not recommend them more highly.

Have been working with Earthworm for upwards of 2 years now with pickups in Boston's Back Bay neighborhood. They have always been great with timing and consistency - great at communication to reschedule in advance to prepare around big occurances like the marathon / sports parades or short notice ones like snowstorms.
I've met a decent number of the team now and they are all super - We see each other only so breifly each week and they still have such a personal touch.
I highly regard and recommend this company

I've had nothing but incredibly warm and positive interactions with the awesome staff at Earthworm - they're flexible with our scheduling needs, always on time, and greet you with a smile. Their prices are incredibly reasonable and you can recycle most anything with them, including hard drives for destruction!

We use Earthworm Recycling for our business downtown. They are an AMAZING nonprofit company with a great mission. They are prompt, communicative (especially on snow days which, let's be honest, you really need if you're working in Boston) , and flexible. I would recommend them to anyone who is looking for a recycling service in the Boston area.
Also, not to call out the other negative Google review, but in our experience, Earthworm is great with quotes. We've used them for years and have not had a single experience with them being "dishonest". If you email them for a quote, they will actually
