I bought a mystic tan package here and was disappointed with my results. The first time I tried the mystic tan I felt really uncomfortable in the booth. There isn't sufficient ventilation. And the color wasn't very good. I upgraded to the Norvell booth which costed extra and the color was better but it wasn't even and came out splotchy the last time I used it

At first I struggled with finding the place, after asking the ppl that work on the shops in the streets I found the place... the representative wasn't the sweetest, but I guess it was the end of the day so... had a 35$ tanning bad for 12 min, I don't have a deep color yet, it might take a few hours to appear...

Recently came here to get a spray tan done right before my vacation and they had the spray booth available which I had never used before so I was nervous, but the staff walked me through how to use it and my tan came out looking flawless. I defiantly will be coming back to purchase a package in the future. This tanning salon was so clean and staff was so friendly! Very happy with my experience!

I have been coming here for years now and have always been extremely happy with my results. I love the salt lamps, wood floors, and the overall location and ambiance.
I have been spray tanned here several times and I am a regular tanning client for their beds too. The customer service is always impeccable, and I feel like the staff and managers are not only super knowledgable but also take their time to make sure that people get the best advice and guidance for their skin, which lotions should be used, etc...

I didn't think I would ever be one to spend a bunch of time at a tanning salon, but this place is much more than that! This gem of a bed left me feeling energized and after only 3 sessions I have already noticed such a drastic improvement on my acne scarring. Strongly recommend this place and this bed. Dana is super helpful in listening to all of your needs and concerns and putting you in the best place accordingly. Strongly recommend this salon and this bed!

Came here for a spray tan. I was greeted immediately by really nice staff, explained my options ( buy one get one free, which I bought), filled out a quick waiver on an ipad, and taken to the room.
the machine itself is open and airy. pretty sure its the Novel. the room had a closet for my stuff (shopping bags/clothes/jacket/boots). I lotioned up my hands and feet, covered my hair, and stepped onto the platform.
the spray was pleasant. no issues trying to breathe. the voice guided directions were easy to understand. it was over in about 5 minutes. I got dressed, left to a chorus of good-byes

I started coming here a few months back. The gals up front are great. There was once an issue with machinery (the mystery is whether it was machinery or operator error). Somehow it registered my having completed the session, but the machine never turned on. Because of NYC law dictating that a person must wait 24 hours before tanning again, the manager couldn't simply reset that machine. But because she knew I was being honest and really had NOT tanned, she got creative and found a way for me to get that day's session. She went above and beyond to help me!! I'll be returning!

Clean, good beds. . Unfortunately the woman working Saturday morning Jan 26 was rude, clearly unhappy to be there and annoyed at having to interact with me. Refused to offer her name.
Update. Manager apologized, explained the woman I encountered that morning was a fill in. Service and facilities since then have been very good. Manager is polite and efficient.

I can barely give this place one star.... rarely do I take the time to write a review unless it's a postive one, but this spray tan experience was so terrible that I felt I should warn others about this waste or $35.
I spray tan every week in Santa Monica California so I know how to exfoliate everything and then put the barrier cream on my hands feet and nails. I followed all the instructions and got a level 1 with a bronzer. The results were literally embarrassing.

What fresh hell is this? i have literally never had a worse tanning experience. i should have known right when i entered to just turn around, because it felt like a sauna. one of the girls working there was nice, but the other was kind of rude and weirdly defensive about the ridiculously high temperature.
i figured there would be a good fan while i was in the bed, but no such luck. i was dripping with sweat for the longest twelve minutes of my life. i almost couldn't bear it. the only reason i forced myself to finish was the fact that i paid $42 for this single session.

The place is very expensive so i got a groupon. 3 spray tans for $24... you get what you pay for.... the first time i used the self tanner machine i got no color at all, the girl sys that happens (it does? why would that happen? how would you go into a self tanner and get no color unless t just sprayed air?) the second time i went however this is what happened - see pic-

Not too hard to find, come in and take the elevator to the 2nd floor. You'll enter right into the facility, so easy enough already.
Prices are a bit confusing, due to points system & various sales. Recent summer sale was 15 Tanning Points $99, 40 Tanning Points $199 or 60 Tanning Points $249 and also for the real rays adverse, 4 Custom Airbrush Tans at a pretty cheap $129.
My adventures here started in winter due to Vitamin D deficiency. I really don't want to get skin cancer, but also supplements weren't helping, so once every few weeks, here

More modern than Past Tan, but not as current as Present Tan.
As you know I'm big into tanning, and that means that this place is somewhere that I've been a couple of times - and the last time I came in to inquire about stuff and found that it's actually really expensive so that was kind of annoying - but yeah.
They were extremely friendly with all of our enquiries and if I did live in Manhattan or if I'm in Manhattan soon and need something tan-wise, or Barbie does, we will very strongly consider this place because of how nice they were. I wouldn't say affordable but

Came to town for photoshoot 2/10/19, needed a spray tan same day. They don't have Versa spa, but they had a Norvel machine. I did level one clear and it came out very good! Cost about $30 with the check in discount. The blonde girl working there was very sweet and helpful. Will def be back next time in town.

Reliable place to get a quick tanning session. I only tan occasionally over the winter months for a mood boost and a light tan, and the staff isn’t trying to upsell me on anything. Usually little to no wait time and mostly very friendly staff. Beds are good and seem to have gotten upgraded recently.

New customer. Did the high pressure tan the strongest they had available and did the buy one get two free special. Used one of the tans, and tried to use the other today but was told they expire. If I had known it would expired I would of went earlier. But no one gave me a heads up or informed me. And on the website it doesn't indicate expiry either. A little disappointed.

I like it here! I'll only get a spray tan about once a year before a wedding but when I do, I come here. The Norvel machine gives me a nice subtle, even tan and they get me in and out quickly. My only complaint is that it's pretty hot in the salon and you're not supposed to sweat! But I can understand how it would be hard to cool a small space full of machines.

I've been going here for years and have never had a problem! It is expensive- but it's the best tanning in NYC and right in Times Square, what do you expect. (Tip: points never expire, so just splurge on a big package when it goes on sale and you'll have it for a long time!)
They take appointments so you can schedule a session or just walk in. It's super flexible.

A nice and clean place, even though the rooms are very small and no luxury. Prices are fair if you come regularly and can buy a package of points. I would recommend to carefully evaluate the different offers and beds as the prices can vary significantly. With a 50% discount package you can get a 10 minute tan in the cheapest bed for as low as 5$. Btw, regarding that other comment that a "free tan" had expired on the 8th day: it's a 7-day trial, so obviously you cannot go on day 8.
