Bristol Electronics was founded in June of 1972 by David Cobb providing sales, installation and repair of televisions, small appliances and roof-top antennas. The company was a spinoff of his father's business, The Electronic Lab in Middlebury. The company grew and adapted as roof-top antenna sales changed with the use of satellite technology.

Bristol Electronics became one of the largest C-band (large dish) install and repair teams in the state of Vermont. As satellite dishes became smaller, Dish Network became the preferred brand for the company. Thousands of residents in Addison, Chittenden and Rutland counties have systems installed by Bristol Electronics.
Services
Bristol Electronics est. 1972, has an experienced staff providing installation and service of residential & commercial solar systems for your electric consumption & hot water production, cold climate heat pump systems and whole-house battery systems. The team designed and constructed this post & beam structure with solar on one side of the roof surface to cover a sailboat in the winter and provide a picnic area in the summer months.
Have you been thinking you want to go solar? Bristol Electronics is the place to call. Over a year ago we met with another company and were so frustrated by the whole process that we decided to forget all about solar power. But when we met Bristol Electronics staff at the Bristol Harvest Festival, they encouraged us to rethink it.
While covering most of the electricity needs of this family, there is room to add four more panels in the future. Since we use micro inverters, it's an easy addition when they are ready. Neatly installed on the garage & providing the perfect amount of electricity for the couple that lives within the home, this system is perfectly sized.
Traditional roof mount installation on standing seam metal roofing, please excuse the climbing rope, it was removed after the photo. If you don't have the perfect roof on your home, you might consider placing panels on an outbuilding like these folks did. A ground mounted unit that was enclosed by the customer after our installation was completed.
A solar water heater uses the sun's energy to pre-heat household water before it enters the conventional gas (or electric) water heater. Solar water heaters supply hot water for domestic use such as cooking, drinking, bathing and laundry. Solar water heaters consist of a roof-mounted flat plate collector panel that contains fluid (glycol, a food grade antifreeze) that is heated by the sun.
