Services
Apartments and cottages which can accommodate small groups, individuals, or families. All have private screened porches providing a room outdoors as part of the relaxed atmosphere that is offered at Edwards. Many of our guests return annually to their favorite units and often bring others to share in their vacation tradition with us at Edwards of Ocracoke.
The Cottage Complex units are casual, comfortable attached cottages. All units have a fully furnished kitchen and a seperate living area with either one or two bedrooms and one bath. Feature attractions include large private screened porches, private entrances and parking under each cottage. Renting multiple units offers adjoining cottages with porches that open for easy access.
Edwards of Ocracoke is pleased to offer three larger rental homes known as the Duck Cottages. They are located on our private family property near the Ocracoke Lighthouse. These are full size, custom built homes with 2-3 bedrooms, two baths, laundry facilities, large fully furnished kitchens, living and dining areas, and a host of other ammenities.
Our goal is to offer services and guidelines that help your vacation go smoothly while still keeping the vintage Ocracoke atmosphere that sets us apart from other establishments. Most of all, we want you to enjoy your stay at Edwards of Ocracoke. We take pride in our accommodations and work hard to provide guests with clean, comfortable, and affordable lodging.
One of the barrier islands of the "Outer Banks" of North Carolina, Ocracoke Island is 16 miles long, and bordered by the Pamlico Sound on the the west and the Atlantic Ocean on the east. This geographical location offers a nature lover's paradise with excellent fishing, water sports, birdwatching, and of course beach combing.

Baby Duck has a special place in my heart! The Edwards family cares for their rentals with such thoughtfulness and attention to detail. We were so comfortable and will be staying with Edwards of Ocracoke next year when we return. The location of the Duck Cottages is so special too. They are hidden treasures on the island.

Edward's is by far our favorite place to stay on the island! The cottages are very clean and comfortable with all the basic necessities. Sara and Bert respond very quickly when you contact them. If you need something they are right on it for you. They are very nice and manage the cottages very professionally and efficiently.

Wonderful little motel. Very reasonable off-season rates. Staff was very helpful when our ferry off the island was suspended due to high winds. The rooms were cute with surprisingly great bathrooms. They must have been recently remodeled, much nicer than one would expect in a motel. The bed was also extremely comfortable!

Clean, well kept room overlooking a courtyard, on a nice quiet street, a few minutes walk from the harbor. Close to a few really good restaurants. My wife really appreciated that they have quiet time after 10:00pm. Staff was very helpful and gave us good local information. We hope to return next year!
