Services
Rutland Lumber Company, founded in 1956, is a third generation family-owned hardwood manufacturing business located in the south-central Mississippi city of Collins. Our sales, production, quality control and customer service all work together in our single location to closely monitor each order and to ensure that the Company continues its 50 year commitment to exceed our customer's expectations before and after the sale.
From the moment the logs are trucked to the mill yard, each of our hardwood lumber products is processed carefully via computer-aided design, with the results monitored by a certified National Hardwood Lumber Association (NHLA) Inspector. After the lumber is milled to spec, it leaves the mill on sticks to sit on the yard for a minimum of 90 days.
Rutland maintains an inventory of sawn lumber species that includes several staple species in multiple grades, cuts, and finishes. Our selection of cut lumber contains species such as white and red oak, poplar, and ash, each of which has its own unique uses. If you're having trouble deciding what lumber species to use for your project, we have a handy guide to walk you through each type of sawn lumber and how to best put it to use.
Rutland Lumber holds "specials" on existing inventory from time to time, so check back frequently to find a steal!.
