Backflow testing is often necessary; here's why. In a water pipe, backflow is the reverse flow of water from its "normal" direction. Backflow devices are used to guard water supplies from contamination. The State of South Carolina requires an annual inspection of your backflow prevention device by a licensed inspector.

I had call Charles to have a back flow test done on my irrigation system. He came out that day to do the job and made so recommendations on my present system. He told me about more user friendly control system for my sprinkler. Charles was totally correct and couldn’t be happier!! So happy we got in touch with Charles and look forward to a long-standing relationship. It’s hard to find professionals in this field but Charles is one of them.

Charles was unprofessional in communicating. Over the phone he would dominate the conversation and not follow up until you called him again. Through email it was even more difficult to get a straight answer as his short answers and 3 day response times were frustrating at best. I ended up not using him as a contractor however the 3 weeks of poor communication and lost time is why I felt it necessary to leave a review.

Charles Ward is very thorough and diligent in his work. We contacted him to fix our irrigation and prep it for new sod. He fixed a plethora of leaks and poor installation issues from previous irrigation. He was here leading up to and after the sod install to ensure everything was properly covered with water and continued to fix leaks up until his latest visit. Definitely someone who knows his irrigation.

Found Charles on Groupme for backflow testing, he came out tested my back flow, it failed. I paid him to replace it, he did a great job. We then found several issues with my sprinkler system. He spent weeks/months replacing all of the solenoids, the controller, sprinkler heads, you name it we did it. After he was finished, I paid him several hundred dollars for his work, trusting him that it was complete. Come to find out a month later when the cold had passed, and it was time to get the yard ready for spring that only the 6 heads in the back work. Nothing in the front, backflow leaks, and now

Charleston Irrigation was very knowledgeable when it came to installing a new sprinkler system for our home. Our previous system was old and needed to be serviced. We contacted Charles who was referred to us by a locally owned hardware store in the area. We explained to him that our current system was inadequately working and could he diagnose the problem. He arrived on time for the scheduled appointment and was very nice and professional. We showed him around the property and then he began to explore the workings of the unit. After the home visit he got back to us with some options and pricing
