In 1948, after returning home from World War II, Bill Loding started a business out of his garage which would become to be known as Rural Gas. While serving in the Army, Bill was tasked with keeping frontline troops fed by any means necessary. His experience and knowledge would allow him to bring gas cook stoves and water heaters to our local area.
The cost of electric appliances and lack of electric infrastructure meant that most homes were cooking with wood stoves until Rural Gas came along. Over time, Rural Gas built its reputation as one of the top independent Propane suppliers in the state. Expanding to multiple locations helped serve the heating needs of our area.

Don’t expect walk-in service.
Went to Ionia after being told they can fill CO2, they can’t - told me to go to Greenville.
Took the drive to Greenville to find two kids holding down a counter that can’t help either. Wanted me to leave the cylinder for them to do later.
What’s the point of a business being open if they can’t help you?

This review won't help anybody who needs to know about the quality of their welding supplies, but it should help you understand a great deal about the quality of their people. I have a puppy who has a severe lung infection. He is on drugs that will make him better in time, but the treatment itself is harsh and the infection is advanced and our vet gave a 50/50 prognosis for him to survive the first week of treatment. There is a real danger that he will have respiratory failure. I went to GTW Welding Supplies to get bottled oxygen, just in case. As they rang up the hardware (bottle, regulator, lines

I ordered and paid for two tanks of co2 gas a week ago. I was told twice that they would be delivered last week. Well now its tuesday of the next week and Im going to pick up my own tanks. No business should treat its customers like that. But if your the only game in town I guess you can treat people like crap. GTW needs better customer service.
