Beginning in 1979, Sunny Skies Child Care, Inc. was established by Rebecca L. (Lamont) Henzie as a one-room facility in a closed elementary school in Clawson, MI. At that time our simple mission was to strive for the safety and well-being of every child in our care, to make learning fun, and to encourage, encourage, encourage.

Services
We are committed to providing "loving care" to each child in an atmosphere conducive to the child's maximum development of his or her potential. We strive to meet each child' s individual emotional, intellectual, physical, social and creative needs by providing a balanced variety of experiences throughout the daily program.
Children are free to choose from several materials and activities provided in Sunny Skies' carefully planned environment. Some equipment and activities are rotated daily to stimulate interest and provide a balanced variety of experiences. Children are encouraged to clean up the materials they have used (to facilitate a growing sense of responsibility).
We would like to thank you and the entire Sunny Skies staff for taking such good care of her over these past (5) years. It is not easy leaving your baby, especially your first born, "with strangers", but we never felt that way. We interviewed (9) different child care places (centers and homes) before making a decision, and it was the feeling we had when we walked into Sunny Skies that made us select you.

This facility has Infants, Young Toddlers on one side of our center and Older Toddlers, Preschool 1, Preschool 2, and Pre-Kindergarten located on the other.

We highly recommend Sunny Skies HW location. We had 2 boys attend for several years until our move to a new community. It is clean, organized, consistent, and well maintained. The playground area is shaded and the teachers are amazing. Here are some highlights:
Miss Janice is a super swell lady. She ALWAYS greeted us with good news and pointed out… things that our boys did that impressed her or that she found special about them or how they excelled that day. Feedback like that is encouraging and it let us know that she was engaged and cared about what is best for our kids. She always took

5 stars. Sent our firstborn at 10 weeks, over two years ago, and have had consistently good care from classroom to classroom as he has grown. Rates are good, about in the range of the others we looked at in our search—but you get the value for your dollar. They are attentive— they know their policies and apply them evenly. I’m so glad we found Sunny Skies!
