First time shipping a vehicle. Delivery was delayed two days. Rust claimed the late arrival was caused by the hurricane in NC but when I spoke to the driver upon delivery he said the storm and/or traffic related to the weather had no impact on his trip. I don't know this business but since it's low barrier to entry (anyone can put up a web site and broker vehicle transportation carriers) the margins are obviously low as this company will nickel and dime you on fees. For instance: My vehicle was supposed to arrive on a Thursday afternoon (date/time window given to me by Rust the day

Awesome staff, Darline was knowledgeable, and made sure everything went smoothly with the transaction. She was very helpful and got our car shipped with no problem, dropped our car in Exeter NH Friday Jan 26th and got our car few days later! The car was shipped from NH to TX. Thanks guys

I decided to try these guys because they were close by and they told me they only used their own drivers. I paid a couple hundred dollars more because I've had bad experiences with the typical brokers. Well, they brokered the Car out to another company. They were 4 days late with all sorts of cockamamie excuses. Their contact with me was almost non existent and they told me to work thru the other trucking company. The driver wouldn't deliver to my home saying the truck was too tall. This didn't make sense as I've had other cars delivered.
Bottom line is this company stinks

I was fortunate to have been referred to Rust Auto Shippers for the transport of my vehicle from Santa Cruz, CA to Los Angeles, CA. From the moment I communicated with Darline, I knew that I would be in good hands.
I had initially reached out on a Thursday morning and they were able to arrange shipment for the following Tuesday with a scheduled delivery on Wednesday morning. It took all of 90 minutes to get this set up with one of their trusted carriers.

Bottom line: 3.5 stars. Solid company with quality customer service, BUT... you still roll the dice when the drivers who handle your vehicle don't work directly for Rust.
I was moving from Hawaii to SoCal. Had a car shipped from Ohio to meet me in Cali so my family and I would have wheels upon our arrival. Upon initial pickup, the driver called my contact in Ohio, saying he was from another company- not Rust. Knowing about all the aggressive auto transport brokers (sharks) who were trying to get my transport business, my contact was reluctant to work with the driver until he knew for sure
