Dancing for Joy is a one-of-a-kind dance studio that goes against the grain of the mainstream dance world by promoting modesty, self-worth and inclusivity in a non-competitive yet professional atmosphere. All our classes-from ballet to jazz, tap to hip hop-are created to be fun, encouraging, and age-appropriate in a professional, non-competitive atmosphere.
Our youngest dancers, age 2-3, start with Tiny Twirlers, and age 3-4 for Creative Movement. We also offer adult 5 week workshops throughout the year in Hip Hop, Jazz, Tap, Ballet and Pilates.

Services
Tuesday/Thursday Schedule focusing more on Contemporary, Hip Hop, Tap, and a few kids classes. Want more ballet? Sign up for one of our intensives in July! Please contact the office if you do not have an account and would like to enroll. Monday-Thursday schedule with more options. They will also be required to wear masks during craft time.
When you register for a class, you are automatically registering for the entire school year. You may enroll online or at our studio. Your enrollment is considered complete once you pay the $25 Registration Fee, at which point your space will be held in the class. Any student with a balance of $300 or more at the time of a DFJ production or performance will be unable to perform.
To attend a make up class you must go to the office first to pick up a make up slip; no reservation required. We highly recommend not waiting until May & June to do make ups because classes may be spending the majority of their time on choreography for our annual June performance. Only registered students can make up a missed class.

Thankful for a family owned company that is working hard to provide an opportunity for kids to dance.
Overcoming many obstacles in this season, this company has worked hard for children or all ages.
They have gone above and beyond and I would gladly send my kids, nieces, nephews and one day grandchildren here.

My 2 year old takes dance here. She absolutely loves it! The staff is amazing. So friendly and talented. They have a passion for encouraging dancers, developing skills, and creating masterpieces. Ms. Danielle does an amazing job teaching dance fundamentals while keeping it fun and imaginative. Their Nativity program in the winter is not to be missed. I can't wait for the June show!

Love this dance school! Great friendly people both instructors and students. Wonderful non competitive environment. Dancing for joy says it all, kids and adults alike enjoy dancing here! The shows are optional and are well produced. The kids adore performing on the"big stage" at the beautiful Mount baker theater. Love it!
