Services
Dr. Arndt was born and raised in Santa Monica and completed his undergraduate work at the University of Southern California before transferring to Cleveland Chiropractic College in Los Angeles where he earned his Doctorate in Chiropractic. Every organ, muscle and tissue in the body is controlled by the nervous system (brain and spinal cord). Nerve impulses are carried from the brain to all the body tissues via the spinal cord and nerve roots. These nerve roots branch out from between the spinal vertebrae. Vertebral misalignments (subluxations) can pinch nerve roots and interfere with proper functioning of the nervous system and organs.
If you have recently learned that you are pregnant this is an exciting time. You are probably both delighted to welcome a new baby and apprehensive about all the changes to come. The nine months of pregnancy required for a fetus to fully develop bring many physical changes to the mother's body. This can create considerable physical stress and discomfort.
Intervertebral discs are the fluid filled sacks that exist between the vertebrae of the spine. These discs serve as shock absorbers for the constant compressive load to our spines. In addition, intervertebral discs allow our spines to move with great range of motion. When the fluid inside an individual disc bulges or herniates through the outer tissue of the disc, this is called a disc bulge or herniation.
Back pain is very often caused by misalignments and nerve compressions. These nerve compressions result in pain and muscle tension in the back and can lead to sciatica (pain radiating down the leg). Pharmaceuticals such as anti-inflammatory drugs, muscle relaxers, physical therapy and massages are commonly used to treat symptoms of back pain.

The best chiropractor. I have severe back pain and neck pain. I always walk out of Dr. Arndt's office feeling much better. He also took care of me during my pregnancy. He cares about his patients and is very professional. There is never a long office wait. I highly recommend him.

I was pregnant with twins and half way through my pregnancy, I started having excruciating back pain and real bad sciatica. No pain meds could ease it. Then I went to see Dr. Arndt to see what he can do about it. And after the very first visit, the pain was significantly reduced and I could function and have a normal life again. I couldn't have hoped for anything better and I didn't need any more drugs that may have harmed my babies. Dr. Arndt was amazing throughout all my sessions! Very professional and he knew exactly what needed to be done to get rid of all that pain and adjust my back that

Dr Curtis is doing a great job - he recommended me monthly adjustments to keep my back healthy and avoid constant issues that I have had for years. It worked - I rarely have back issues any more even when I play Footy. Good luck

After experiencing dull neck pain on and off for over two years I finally decided to try a chiropractor. I have now been seeing Dr. Arndt for regular adjustments every three weeks or so for over a year and my neck is in much better shape. The office is very nice and I never have a problem making an appointment. Overall great place to go!

I have been going to see Dr. Arndt for over a year now. He is an excellent chiropractor that offers a thorough diagnosis of the issues and is truly concerned with your health and making you feel better. Along with adjustments, he also suggests stretches and exercises to do at home to get you back on your feet. The office is nice and Dr. Arndt is always on time. He is very flexible with rescheduling on the odd occasion that I have become ill and can't make it in or in cases where an injury has occurred and I need to get in to see him as soon as possible. Highly recommended!

It was my very first experience with a chiropractor, and it was perfectly positive. I came across his office after a car accident, I had back-pains, he was recommended to me. Dr.Arndt has a conveniently located office in Santa Monica with a parking lot, the ambience is warm and comforting. Dr.Arndt took the time to explain what is going on with my spine, analyzed the accident, and then my sleeping and walking habits. He expressed a lot of knowledge about the body alignment, and I took a complete course that Dr.Arndt suggested. He aligned my body and gave me tips on daily care of my spine. My back

This is an open letter to Dr. Arndt.
When my daughter Kayemee recommended you for a chiropractic treatment. I didn't go wrong with my decision. For one single treatment, I got well and because of this I won't stop recommending you for your expertise in your chosen profession. You're damn good.

I've been going to Apex chiropractic for a few years off and on and recently had an amazing experience to write about. I'm a competitive cyclist and had a bad crash in a bike race and shattered my collarbone. Once it was all healed, I still had a lot of difficulty breathing and my lung capacity was definitely reduced. I went to see Dr. Arndt and he said everything was out of alignment due the the accident and trauma from the crash (i had been hit from behind by another cyclist doing about 30mph and was pushed into and dented the pace car). He adjusted my neck, my back, my ribs and just about everything
