My name is Scott Shilling and I'm the owner of SJS Handyman. We are a family owned business operated by myself and my wife. I originally started my handyman business (Temecula Scott Handyman Services) back in 2004 working part time in Temecula and Murrieta. In the spring of 2013 we relocated our family to Escondido and begun the process of expanding our business to the North County San Diego area.
It has been our ultimate goal to make our handyman business my full time career and in the spring of 2014 we did that. My wife and I decided to rename our company and make it a fulltime handyman service company. We named our company SJS Handyman and it stands for "The small job specialist" Handyman.

Scott is fantastic!
He has done several small jobs for us and always does a great job! Â He is easy to schedule with and is always punctual. Â He finishes the jobs he starts and doesn't drag things on (as we have experienced with other handymen in the past.)

Had a few odd projects where we needed help. Found Scott and so glad I did. He was very responsive, on time and professional. Had Scott raise our wall mounted TV for better viewing, replace 3 old fluorescent garage lights with new LED lights and replace a Lutron wireless wall switch that was going on at random. All done perfectly and in a reasonable time and cost. Very fair and reliable. He cleaned up after each job, leaving no traces he was even there. So glad we connected with Scott and will definitely call him again. Such a relief that help is out there that is fair, responsive

Scott is prompt and professional! He quickly responded to my inquiry and after I texted over a few pics to him he accepted the job and was able to come over quickly. It was only a small job of hanging some shelves and replacing some lights. However, I feel very lucky to have found Scott. We already have him booked to come back and replace some of our other pot lights. We always have projects here and there that pop up and having someone like Scott that we can reach out to is an absolute blessing!

What impressed me first was an almost immediate response to my e-mail to his website. He suggested replacing the fluorescent kitchen lights above cupboards with LED lights rather than just replacing the ballast. Messages exchanged, a date and time set, he brought the LED lights, and the job completed in spite of a minor glitch due to my misinformation to him. Very pleasant to work with and very efficient.

Scott is like a home project miracle worker; he comes in and--efficiently and seemingly effortlessly--manages to accomplish all sorts of tasks in under an hour. He is very easy to work with and does a great job on every project. When hanging pictures, he'll even take care to measure that the painting is not only level but perfectly centered on the wall. Looking forward to having him install our new television in the future as that is one of his specialities; however, he truly is great at accomplishing any task around the house.

We found Scott on Yelp and had him install shower doors in two bathrooms and a ring doorbell. He even helped with picking up the shower doors from Home Depot. Overall, he was easy to schedule with, did a great job and accepts Venmo (so no need to run out to the ATM). We are buying a new home and have a list of things we'll be calling Scott to help us with.

Scott did an amazing job installing new electrical in our back patio and hanging our outdoor tv. He was quick to respond, professional, and finished the job in a day. His work was impeccable. Now we have 3 new power outlets outside, so we're able to hang lighting and enjoy our lovely outdoor living room with our new tv. I'd definitely recommend Scott!

Scott is hands down an awesome handyman! He was booked up and I waited til he was available for my project and so happy I did. He is very reasonable with prices and is very professional and honest. He tackled my gym install project like a pro and even made customization to the squat rack to ensure proper fit! Will definitely use Scott in the future!
