St. Henry Creative Learning Center
We provide a home away from home, a loving family atmosphere to help each child grow physically, mentally, spiritually, and emotionally. Preparing children for kindergarten is our business. Our preschool/pre-kindergarten program has received high marks from teachers in area school for many years. For your child's safety, we strongly encourage your child to wear tennis shoes to school.

They are the most appropriate shoes for outside activities. In the event that your child does not wear tennis shoes to school, playing on the playground equipment will NOT be allowed. To recycle ink cartridges and cell phones, drop it off at the door and we will put them in our donation box.
Services
In the 1980's the most common care for children was babysitting-locating a woman in the area to care for a child for a small fee. In Belleville a small number, less than a dozen, for profit Day Care Centers operated. With the idea and encouragement of two ladies of the parish, with approval of the St. Henry School Board and the pastor, Msgr.
Founded in 1980, the St Henry Creative Learning Center met the desperate needs of parishioners and staff of St. Henry Parish and Althoff Catholic High School to find quality care for their children and provide them with advantages in the area of educational and social development.

Recognizing that the establishment of a strong relationship between the staff and the parents is essential, an extensive effort is made to communicate with the parents about the child's daily activities and major milestones. The communication permits the student to understand and respond to any unique need.
I love St. Henrys CLC. I have used their service for my two children. My older child who is eleven now still has found memories of her time at the creative learning center. They equipped her with the skills she needed to be very successful in her education beyond the center. I love the way the work with the parents updating them on your child is doing, what they are learning as well as behavior.
Our program for this age group develops their Fine Motor Skills by learning how to use a spoon, hold a cup, scribble with crayons, stack blocks and rings, and turn pages in a book. The Gross Motor Skills include learning how to sit, jump, run, throw, and kick a ball.

In the area of Social Development, the children are learning such things as recognizing themselves in a mirror, respond to their name, play with others, imitate adults, pick up toys, start to identify body parts, help with washing and drying their hands.
Our program encourages each child to mature at his/her own level. The children learn Motor Skills, both fine and large, Social/Emotional Development, and Cognitive Language Skills. Our goal for the children is to interact with others in a friendly and cooperative manner while learning. Children enjoy their day in an age appropriate environment with the love and attention of their accredited teacher and new friends.

I visited 9 preschools unannounced before making a decision. I chose St. Henry’s and I am so glad I did! My son has been going for almost 3 years. I am so happy with the progress I see. The staff is great with the kids and communicates with parents very well. I would recommend them to anyone looking for a safe and loving learning environment.

Oh boy, where do you start.
The staff are nice and caring and friendly....as long as there's a parent around. I picked up my child early one day, before the PRe K program had finished and heard the awful way Mary Haas speaks to the classroom. It. was. Awful. It's obvious to me that this woman has no business in a classroom with vulnerable children.
That alone was enough to make me start searching for another center, but since Mary Haas isn't always in the Sunshine room (I don't know why they don't just say the pre k room. Pretentious much?) I figured it was not an emergency

My son has been so happy at St. Henry Creative Learning Center. He is excited to go in the morning and brings home so many art projects. He has learned new skills and loves socializing with the other kids.
