She is a certified color and extension specialist with over years of experience in the industry. She will educate you on proper home maintenance and recommend the right products to help solve the problems you are experiencing in your hair. Building confidence in others is what I strive to do each day in the salon and it all starts with understanding each client's individual needs.
For the safety of your children and to provide relaxation for our guests, children 6 and under are not allowed in the Salon. I wanted a vibrant copper red color, I was nervous Bc that color isn’t easy and my hair was in super bad shape. Mary did my hair and I got exactly what I wanted! I feel like I got an amazing deal for the service I received. She is very sweet, talkative, professional and made me feel confident. Not to mention the shampoo massage is the cherry on top!

Going to Shear Decadence and having Michael color my hair was one of the best experiences I have ever had at a hair salon. The entire package was lovely: from the scalp massage by the expert fingers of the kind lady who rinsed my hair to the caring, friendly receptionist who makes you feel welcome as soon as you walk through the door. It was my first visit to the salon and Sharon was my first-time stylist. I really liked her! She was very personable, friendly and professional. I came for a haircut for a curly type 3A-3B very fine hair. She did an excellent job, and was very careful cutting very sparingly as I asked her to preserve as much of my length as possible. I went in today at around 9 thinking I had booked an appointment and came to find out it didn’t go through, BUT the ladies were sweet enough to still let me get my hair done since they didn’t have anyone! Went in with my daughter and although her stylist was super sweet she completely did wrong color on my daughter after speaking to owner Micheal without any hesitation he got right on to make things right and WOW did he do a absolutely wonderful job. I had an emergency hair extension need (mine were causing more alopecia) and this salon stepped up! They made time for me and I could not be more pleased! They re-did my hair with keratin bonding. I asked for thin pieces and a partial highlight. I am basically all over blonde except my ends and my blonde is yellow and orange which I expressed I did not want. I drove 2 hours and paid almost $200 (more than I ever have even in California) and am not happy at all. They are very friendly and nice however I paid a very inflated price for a service I do not feel as though I got. The shampoo assistant had to point out some areas around my face/hairline to which Michael just brushed some product on and didn't leave on very long to correct a problem I can only guess which those areas are

Very strict cancellation policy and poor customer service. I called on a Monday morning to cancel a Tuesday evening hair appointment due to a change in my work schedule, and I got charged the full price of the appointment ($40!), because I did not cancel 48 hours before on the dot. 48 hours before would have been Sunday afternoon... to which they replied a voicemail left on Sunday is fine, but calling Monday morning to attempt to speak to a person during business hours is not acceptable to waive the fee. Keep the fee, you've lost a customer.

I chose this salon cause it had the best reviews. I'm regretting it now. I went in yesterday with a picture of exactly what I wanted. Hair dresser told me she was the best in that store and I believed her. She kept saying how she could see the beautiful color in my hair when she was close to being done, but even after showing me I could barely see it in the right light. Mind you I only get my hair done once every 2 years, I paid $200 out of pocket to get this done(that's alot for me as a SAHM), and tried to charge me more for it. Michael has been doing my hair for over a year now. Walking into his salon is very welcoming... Each and every employee he has are friendly,helpful and overall welcoming! What a great happenstance! I accidentally called the wrong number and this sweet woman, Liz answered. She told me I had dialed the wrong number but that she would happily help me look up the right business I was looking for. How sweet is that? I was so impressed by her helpful demeanor (and was desperate for a haircut) that I decided to make an appointment- and I'm so glad I did! I was a walk in, I just wanted a simple haircut and nothing else. Showed the lady a photo and told her what I wanted and she proceeded to chop off all of my hair not even asking me length wise or anything. I was so upset after I left realizing how much she had cut off and I got nothing like what I wanted, my hair has never been this short in my life. Probably not getting it cut again either like ever. I really enjoyed my experience here, it was my first time getting my hair completely redone in the past four years and I was pretty nervous, but upon arrival I felt welcomed and the staff were so friendly! Plus I've never really felt comfortable or really confident when getting my hair cut due to how short I want it etc. but when I mentioned I wanted the 10 in. completely chopped off everyone one was very encouraging and really worked with me. I moved away from the area. After going through a new set of extensions here ... I'm ready to move back!!! I just moved to the Austin area and needed to have my extensions replaced, color, highlights,and trim. Showed her a picture of the extensions Heather did , asked her to leave my length and was told no problem.
Big problems ... color wasn't even close even after a rinse; head is still sore 2 days later from removing old extensions; scabs on my scalp from where she pulled hair out and multiple tufts of 4" long hair where she burned my hair. This

Soo glad I found this gem! Michael - my now & forever hair God (no offense to our good Lord!) is so amazing & knowledgeable! Him & his staff are so nice, I couldn't find a salon that could get my hair color the way I wanted until Shear Decadence! It's not just a salon, it's their livlihood & passion & it shows. I wouldn't recommend anywhere else. I came into the salon with a botched Balayage from another salon. It was bad...there was no color blend to the crown of my head, just a straight brassy line, and my ends were fried. I was afraid to do anything to it for fear that my hair would finish breaking and fall out. Allison assured me that there were some friendlier processing techniques she could use to fix it without damaging it further. She convinced me to trust her and I'm glad I did! Staff is so nice and accommodating. I feel super comfortable and that they really cared about my hair and making sure I understood the process and what would and wouldn't work for me. Michael was awesome and very patient and I definitely trusted his judgement. I got a cut, Brazilian blowout, and beautiful color with tons of education on after care and follow up.
