The Patent Professor has been recognized by Inc Magazine and listed in the Inc5000 as among the fastest growing private companies in the United States. Although initially founded as an "army of one" by John Rizvi, an adjunct professor of patent law (hence, the firm's name!) and one of the first group of board certified patent attorneys in the country, the firm has grown into a formidable organization of intellectual property specialists.
Today, The Patent Professor team consists of board certified patent attorneys, former U.S.P.T.O. Plus, unlike at traditional law firms, we don't charge for meetings, phone calls, emails, faxes, postage, or photocopies. If you have come up with an invention that you believe is unique and valuable, it is strongly suggested that you file a patent to protect your ideas from being reproduced.

I am honored and privileged that you are considering me and my law firm for your patenting matters. Board Certification is the highest level of recognition of attorneys' competency and experience in specialized areas of law approved by the Supreme Court of Florida.
To qualify as a Board Certified Patent Attorney, I had to have years of focused practice as a patent attorney, successfully pass a separate examination exclusively on intellectual property law, and undergo substantial peer review scrutiny proving my credentials as a specialist.Only a tiny handful of patent attorneys in the entire country are Board Certified as specialists.

My books below reflect some of the darkest and brightest moments in my 20 year journey through patent law. They parallel many of the same personal experiences my inventor clients (& entrepreneurs) have faced as they attempt to overcome the odds to make their idea a reality. The gray twilight rolled back a little, and somehow I knew if I ran at full throttle, hard enough and long enough, I would escape it altogether.
Let The Patent Professor help you file your next design patent application to protect your creation. Call (877) 731-5667 to get started now. If you're an inventor, artist, or designer, you may need to file design patent applications to protect your intellectual property. The Patent Professor is here to help with everything you need to know about protecting your designs.
Let The Patent Professor help you protect your invention with non-provisional patent application by calling (877) 330-7492. Filing a non-provisional patent for your invention prevents other people from stealing and potentially profiting from your unique intellectual property. If they try to replicate your device or technology, you have legal recourse.
Let The Patent Professor help you secure your innovation with this essential first step to filing a patent. Filing a patent application with the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) typically starts with conducting a patentability search. Before filing the patent documents, patent applicants must make sure an international or United States patent doesn't already exist for the invention.

The lady who I finally was able to connect with was pleasant but she didn't get back to me until three months later. Her company was unable to help me they did not provide my type of service but it took three months for her to tell me that. It was a complete waste of time. When looking for a lawyer time is important. She finally refer me to another lawyer office located in California. People I live in Georgia. In my opinion a whole lot of time could of been wasted if she she had paid attention from the start.

Positive: Professionalism, Quality, Responsiveness, Value
I had worked with a different attorney, who charged a fee for every correspondence. So glad I found Patent Professor! Donald answered every question I had for a flat fee, he also knew exactly what was needed to get my Patent application fixed and approved! If I ever attempt to Patent a other idea, I will call them first.

The team members at The Patent Professor are nothing short of exceptional at what they do. Their committment to each individual is admirable and should not go unappreciated. Between explaining steps so I had full understanding of the process to reminding me about forms or deadlines that I needed to remember, you can be assured that this group has your back. Thank you so much to everyone at The Patent Professor, I will always be grateful for helping navigate me through this process!

Made an appointment online on a Friday for the following Monday. On Monday I called into the number that was provided only to find out this was only an appointment to make the appointment lol. The following day never received a callback for the appointment that I scheduled. You would think that with all the money they're spending on advertisements on Google etc. they would actually provide a better service. In the meantime you'll be blasted with spam text messages and emails. Keep up the good work guys.

I had the pleasure of joining your webinar with SCORE and all I can say is wow! You took a topic that I thought would be full of legal jargon and made it easy to understand and entertaining. I was inspired by your encouraging words; your passion for service was evident. Thank you so much for the information...I definitely have some action items to work on☺️. By the way #zerox lol - Be well.

I recently reached out to the patent professor after reading the numerous glowing reviews about this firm. The first step was a chat with a receptionist who scheduled an appoint for me with, what I can only describe as a salesman. I was asked to call in at a certain date and time for my consultation. I had been provided with an NDA in advance. What occurred next was something I didn't expect from a law firm; a sales pitch. I felt like he was trying to sell me a condo in boca. All the earmarks were there. The urgency to get this done right away to protect my invention. The compliments

EDIT: 1/9/21
I'm editing my review two weeks later because the response did not sit well with me.
Nobody called me that day. A few days later, Felix scheduled a different time and date without having ever spoken with me before about anything at all. Then after our newly "scheduled meeting", he left a voicemail saying that I missed the appointment (well, duh?).
John Rizvi responds that he cannot find me in the system as if to tell you, the readers, that my review is invalid. My account and name are intentionally anonymous, and I know he knows. How?

If you have an idea, you need a good Laywer to protect your right. Jhon was behind expectations we were looking for. His employees are very friendly and professional.
The good think about jhon he will listen to you and advise you of your next steps to make the process easy and convenient for you. Don’t fight the patent office by yourself.... Hire the patent professor to fight for you.

I apologize, I failed to mention that I had not gotten around to designing that locking pin yet.

Thank you all for your diligence and hard work during these trying times, and I look forward to a long relationship with you all. I have plenty of ideas, and very little time to get them all down in visual format, so I am

Bogus Search and Wasted Time and Money
Yes they did their expert search and supposedly found 7 items to refute that were not even close to my idea. So of course your falsely enthusiastic about moving forward. Now 2 1/2 years later and thousands of $s spent on their services, my patent was rejected because there was a very similar patent already issued. Now to add insult to injury they want me to review what happen, make

The Patent Professor helped us get our design patent in a timely fashion. A few hiccups in the beginning with emails being missed. But once ironed out, everything was smooth and quick. Delivered on promised timelines. It was also helpful since it was our first time going through the patent process. Would use him again.
