2G Engineering is an AS9100-certified design company specializing in subsea linear and rotary actuators and engineering design services for customers who operate in some of the harshest conditions on the planet. Our services include circuit design, software, mechanical design, analysis, industrial automation, and system integration for applications ranging from deep sea oil and gas production to hybrid automotive and battery technology.
2G Engineering's focus is on subsea actuators, subsea products, battery systems, vehicle technology, and power grid systems. Our custom designed systems are in continuous operation in extreme environments worldwide. We serve a variety of target markets such as scientific exploration, research, energy systems, aerospace, vehicle systems, marine technology, and oil/gas.

Services
With a variety of highly configurable rotary actuator models, 2G Engineering can deliver the rotary motion system you need. Whether your application requires precise angular positioning, an acceleration bounded movement, or just a simple 90 degree rotation to turn a ball valve, our rotary actuators have you covered.
2G Engineering offers three standard families of subsea electric linear actuators, each precision-engineered to be reliable and perform under harsh conditions. All linear actuators from 2G Engineering are fully integrated. This means to operate them one only needs to provide power and a command signal.
The 2000 Series of linear actuators from 2G Engineering is our smallest available size. It includes all the integrated features of our larger 3500 and 4000 Series units such as onboard motor drivers, position sensor, and servo control system. The model features 100 pounds of output force in tension or compression, 24 V nominal operation, and serial or analog control systems as standard.
Like all 2G actuators, the 2000 Series rotary actuator family has fully integrated positioning feedback and motor control systems. The angular measurement system on the units never needs calibration or "homing" on power on. All 2G actuators are IP69K rated - providing total protection from water and dust ingress, and protection from steam-jet cleaning.
The 3000 Series Rotary Actuator can deliver a peak force of 120 ft-lb and peak speed of 50 RPM making it well-suited for a wide variety of applications including process control such as actuation of process control valves, control surface actuation, and underwater winches. The unit may be operated in a variety of harsh environments including subsea to a depth of over 6,000m.
