Services
We share your passion for sports. The way we see it, we only succeed when you're performing at your best. So, whether you're an aspiring athlete or a weekend warrior, we are here to get you- and keep you- at the top of your game. Yet we're also here to help you get serious about building the strength, speed, agility, and power you need to reach your athletic goals.
We help athletes prevent injuries through both The EDGE and our athletic training services at area schools. We also help athletes find the best and fastest path to getting back to their sport. There are many types of sports injuries to the bones, muscle and other tissues in the lower and upper bodies as well as to the back and head.
Our team is here to get you and keep you at the top of your game. To do that, we created an athlete-focused approach to assess athletic performance and to evaluate and diagnose injuries. The Orthopedic Institute offers many assessment options to fit your goals. If you have a performance issue or sports injury and aren't sure what you need, we can customize an approach just for you.
Most often the last and final treatment option for sports injuries is surgery. The surgical option often follows a long period of treating an injury conservatively in an attempt to heal and regain function without the pain and recovery that come with surgery. Fortunately, new surgery techniques, pain management protocol, and expert rehab therapists are making surgery a less painful option and somewhat easier road to choose.
When it comes to sports injuries, there are often alternatives that don't involve surgery. Achieving and maintaining peak performance means working through minor setbacks, and we're here to help with that, too. At the Orthopedic Institute, we help you sort through some of the more common options, and we're also up-to-date on other non-surgical solutions you may not even know about.

I am so grateful for the wonderful care that I have received at the Orthopedic Institute at Southwest Health. I have had both of my knees replaced in the last three years. I was suffering with so much pain that I really had to question, if just walking to the mailbox in my neighborhood, was worth the pain. I don't have enough words to express my gratitude for my surgeon, Dr. Josh Lindsey, Physician's Assistant , Phil Burr PA and Physical Therapist, Julie Grabandt MSPT. Their professional knowledge was indisputable and their kindness and empathy was immeasurable. Mary Stymiest is the greeter at

I could not be more impressed with Dr. Lindsey and his staff. I just had ACL repair surgery and he was so straight forward with everything. It was really nice to have a doctor be 100% about things and not beat around the bush. He also told me to text or call him if I have any questions which made it a little more personalized. He treated me like a friend and not just a patient and that's something you don't get from doctors very often. I highly recommend Dr. Lindsey and his staff.
