If you're buying or selling your house, or just have concerns about your septic system, it is important to get a thorough septic inspection on your current system. Zeb Watts Septic specializes in septic inspections in Okaloosa, Walton, and Santa Rosa counties. Your inspection will include the pumping and cleaning of your tank, an inspection of the tanks condition, the condition of the inlet line, and drainfield.
A septic tank is different than a municipal sewer system in that the property owner is responsible for making sure that the tank is pumped regularly so the system keeps working. A septic tank can work reliably for a few years before it needs to be pumped, but a septic tank that isn't pumped regularly can cause a lot of problems on your property.
Your home's lift station is another key component to your septic system's overall performance. Also known as a septic lift station pump, the lift station utilizes pumps that are responsible for sending fluid from the septic tank to the leach field when gravity is unable to do the job. Inside the lift station, where the sewage collects, there is a float.
The septic tank is a large holding tank that is most commonly made from precast concrete. Everything flows into the tank through the inlet line. Here, the bacteria that live in the tank break down the waste and it separates. Three layers form in the middle section of the tank. Organic solids form a crusty layer of "scum" at the surface of the tank.

We had a contract on my father's estate and the buyer and or the buyer's real-estate agent ordered a septic inspection on 12/8/2021 by Zeb Watts Septic. Although we knew nothing about an inspection it was done, and the result listed on the paid Work Order receipt was "recommend all new system". On the copy of the Work Order, we received and noted under "System Information" the box by, Recommend System Repair, was checked. To be clear under the Additional Remarks section it did state that there was an issue with the lid. However, something had been clearly whited out and the statement "recommend

Took great care of our septic needs. Used them back in February, and had lived in our home just over a year. The gentlemen that came out were professional and knowledgeable. Our septic tank had not been pumped prior to our purchasing the home. After all was done I was assured that there was more than a year and half a worth of waste in the tank. They let you know when they are finished and answer all questions you may have. I would highly recommend Zebb Watts
