Richtsmeier Landscaping
You'll often hear us talk about solving problems. Drainage issues, grading issues, site design issues, and plant selection issues are all examples of problems we work to solve. As the sole owner, designer, estimator and primary job site coordinator and contact person, Tom Richtsmeier can help you to bring your ideas, designs, and concepts from a planning stage right through to installation.

One problem many homeowners face is the "unknown" of hiring a large company to complete a project. They find the designer/estimator to be likable and competent. Yet they then find there are 3-5 additional people with whom they must communicate ideas, concerns and issues. Will they have adequate knowledge & experience?
Services
Richtsmeier Landscaping LLC has been making outdoor spaces more beautiful for 29 years. We love what we do and it shows. Satisfied customers come back to work with us again on more projects or on new properties. Our quality is backed by our warranties. We, as an organization, look to build relationships that grow.
Edging works to both hold the space your planting bed creates and add to the design on a large or small scale. We complete the look of your new space using materials ranging from natural boulders to metal strips. As with decorative rock, the color and shape of mulch create an overall mood that completes the look of the landscaping.

Tom and his crew did a great job on our front and back landscaping. The clean up and work area were well managed and the final design was a perfect fit for our home. Tom landscaped for us at our last home as well, so we were confident that we would be pleased with the project. Tom was great to work with and he answered all of our questions before and after the project was completed. We would definitely recommend him as a designer/ landscaper.

I would strongly discourage not using this company to do your landscaping. He did mine over a year ago and had said that all of the bushes that were put in place have a one-year warranty. He came to look it this past spring as we have four dead bushes said that he would replace them as soon as the ground unthaws. I have left him numerous text messages and voicemail messages to find out when he’s going to take care of this and he has been completely nonresponsive since the beginning of June and it is now the end of August. Also in the process of putting the landscaping in he covered up three sprinkler

I worked 13 or 14 seasons plowing snow for Richtsmeier Landscaping. We had and continue to have a great relationship. I always looked forward to working with Tom and the guys. My full time job and other life obligations finally brought my snowplowing career to an end but I still miss it.
As to the haters on here, Tom was always professional; firm but fair. As with so many other things in life, you get out of it, what you put into it. Tom took care of us and we were always paid on time and he made it a point to give a bonus for those who worked every snowfall.
I work full time at a local airport

Tom did a fabulous job on a boulder retaining wall in our back yard. He’s extremely knowledgeable and also gave us some great advice about what to plant and how to better care for our trees and plants. I highly recommend this company if you need a landscaping project completed.

Tom recently completed work for me and it looks wonderful. Tom gave me some really thoughtful advice and went out of his way to get supplies after I changed my mind about part of the project. This is the second landscaping job Tom has done on my yard, and I couldn't be happier. Tom was great to work with. The results are spectacular!

Working for Richtsmeier Landscaping isn't a walk in the park by any means. The days are hot, long and physically challenging. But nearly 10 years later, I look at my experience working on his crew as a pivotal moment for me.
During the summer between my sophomore and junior year in high school, Tom approached me and said, "Your dad says you're looking for work?" "I am?" At the time I played football and enjoyed video games - changing to a physically demanding job was not easy. Regardless, I ended up working for Tom for 4 summers. The pay was very fair and the work kept me in great shape for football
