Just steps from the gondola, we are the perfect spot to fuel up before a day on the slopes or to take a break for lunch. Start the day with Poppycocks's famous old-fashioned oatmeal buttermilk pancakes or corn griddle pancakes.
Dishes so popular, the restaurant now packages and ships the mix worldwide! For something noteworthy, indulge in the specialty dessert crpes or French toast. All of Poppycocks sauces and specialties are homemade. Both made from scratch daily, the Hollandaise sauce serves as a delectable topping for the classic Eggs Benedict and the green chili tops off their Huevos Rancheros.

I hate to write this because so many places in aspen is closing down but this place.... why did an omelet and a turkey sandwich turn out to be $80? The food was not good but the staff is super friendly. I'm pretty sure they serve canned food just heated... the quality does not reflect the price. Also, the Denver omelets come with veggie etc. But if you add to it... like meat... they will literally charge you for every single item in your omelets instead just charging additional topping. I hate to tell people my secret lol but I recommend going to the aspen Institute hotel to eat breakfast

Prompt, family friendly place. Food was fresh and tasty. Pancakes were fluffy, corned beef was spot on. Fruit was fresh and well presented. Scrambled eggs with cheddar - delicious. French toast was great. A bit pricy for breakfast for 4 but we are in Aspen so should be expected.. well done guys. Thanks for being open.

This restaurant has been in Aspen for many years. The food is good, especially the breakfast. The blueberry oatmeal pancakes are fantastic. Just be careful - they charge a lot separately for every item that you add. If you order an “everything” omelette- it will cost you $65! My husband’s uncle did and that’s how much his bill was 😨 One time I also asked for an omelette with a couple of extra veggies, and a side of avocado and it was close to $40. They even charged me $4 for a mini container of salsa.
Beware - order the item from the menu without modifications if you want to pay the

The couple that run this wonderful restaurant are so friendly and make you feel like a valued customer. They make the pistachio sausage on the menu and we are so glad we tried it! So delicious! You also have to try the oatmeal pancakes. Delicious. Prices are also reasonable compared to many restaurants in Aspen. Again, we can't say enough about the friendly, fast service and delicious breakfast we enjoyed! This is a must while in Aspen!

Very cute diner! Lovely, friendly staff. I assume the older couple are the owners, they are so cute and feel like your grandparents!
Is the food exceptional? No. But service is amazing. They knew what we needed before we had to ask, e.g. refilling coffees, extra plates for the littles.
I'm giving this place 5* because of the service, and because it's the most reasonably priced place in Aspen. The food is average but I'd rather pay a reasonable price for average food than pay 3x the amount for just the same average food else where.

Comfortable dining area, large menu to choose from and very good customer service. A gentleman who I assume to be either the owner or a general manager was extremely welcoming, offering to take photos of me and my husband unprompted as well as the staff checking on us. Didn't have to wait long for our food either. My crepe was awesome, I'm used to most restaurants skimping on fruit whether they are high or low end, but they put so many fresh strawberries in it that I had enough for every bite. Affordably priced as well!

Poppycock's looks like your average cafe, but this simple mom-and-pop place is where you will find the best pancakes in Aspen. Their specialties are the oatmeal pancakes and the corn griddle cakes. The oatmeal pancakes are pretty much a bowl of oatmeal turned into pancake form. That might not sound appetizing, but it is actually super delicious. The corn griddle cakes are served with pistachio sausages. Pistachio sausages might sound questionable, but they do not taste nutty at all and are also super delicious. The food portions are quite hearty, and the prices are pretty reasonable. Also

Coming from Texas we wanted to find a home cooked breakfast and we were glad to find this place here in Aspen. Food was great! Everyone here was very attentive, making sure we had refills as needed without even having to ask. They greeted us with a smiling face, of course under a mask, but you could tell! Great customer service!

Nice, clean dining area with excellent service. The food came out quickly, was hot, and really good. I had the Nutella Banana crepe and it was wonderful. One of my brothers got the Breakfast Burrito and I sampled some. The salsa was delicious and the eggs were done just right! My other brother got the French toast, and while I didn’t sample it, he said it was good.
Thank you for an excellent meal!

YUM! What a delicious breakfast joint! They were definitely busy the Sunday morning we popped in, but the nice outdoor area, people watching and delicious food made it worth the wait. The service was great from the extremely friendly man seating everyone to the server at our table.
Breakfast Burrito: As you'd expect it. Full of flavor and plenty to keep you full for most of the day.
Eggs Benedict: My go-to and a classic. The hollandaise sauce was a perfect consistency and the eggs were poached just right.
Macadamia Nut Pancake: We got this to share because where else will you

Poppycock's Oh Poppycock's, how I love your "Old Fashion Oatmeal Pancakes"; in fact, your pancake mix is what I brought home as souvenir gifts!
Nothing fancy, a solid diner this is. Piping hot and always full was my coffee cup. Enjoyed delightful bites of crispy bacon & their signature pancakes!
Arrive early for it gets crowded. Welcoming and friendly they are to dogs and young children. Eating out on their patio was the right choice!

What a delightful morning we had on the front patio of Poppycock's in Aspen! It was 70 and perfect, surrounded by lovely potted flowers and trees.
I enjoyed a great cup of coffee. Then I ordered an Egg Sandwich, made with an ample serving of scrambled eggs, cheddar cheese, and crisp bacon on wheat toast.
It was accompanied by a generous serving of fresh fruit...blueberries, strawberries and bananas.
Leisurely, casual, and lovely, on the sidewalk in the middle of beautiful downtown Aspen...so nice!
I shall return!

Two friends and I came to Poppycock for breakfast before skiing and when I walked in, I realized I'd been here before! It was even better than last time.
The interior of Poppycock is not fancy, but the food and service are both great and efficient. My group ordered the oatmeal pancakes to share, and they were delectable.
We also separately ordered the corned beef hash, which was VERY heavy: there's no shortage of food and be ready to feel this on the slopes if you go skiing right after eating.
There are no bells and whistles at poppycock, but it's a comfortable breakfast with

When we walked into this place we were greeted and seated immediately . Our menus were dirty. They had syrup and all kinds of other food residue inside of them, first turn off. Once our order came out I noticed my potatoes were very cold, I than told the waiter she brought them back to me I could tell they put them in the microwave. Their sausages were nasty they had some weird type of beans inside of them, the pancakes tasted outdated. My boyfriend found hair stuck on the side of his plate. We than told our waiter and she called over the manager Eric... he took a look and said we don’t have
