We are pleased to welcome you to our optometry office. Our office provides eye examinations, which consist of various tests to evaluate the health of your eyes and determine the spectacle or contact lens prescription best, suited for you. Your eye exam may take thirty minutes to an hour, and the tests performed will depend on your symptoms, age, occupation, lifestyle and other factors considered important.

I just wanted to introduce myself and tell you a little bit about me. I was born and raised in Dawson Springs, Kentucky. I attended Western Kentucky University from 2005-2007 and graduated with a double major in biology and chemistry with a minor in physics. I then moved to St. Louis to begin my Optometry schooling at the University of Missouri-St.
Our comprehensive eye examinations evaluate your eyes, both inside and out, for any potential disorders or diseases. Your visual skills and abilities are carefully evaluated and appropriate treatment is prescribed - whether it's medication, lenses or low vision rehabilitation. Our office provides emergency services for eye infections and eye injuries.
We carry a wide range of frames to appeal to all patients. We have frames from Marc Jacobs, Michael Kors, Lilly Pulitzer, Vera Bradley, Oakley, Nike, Ray Ban, Chesterfield and many more. Sunglasses aren't just about style - they're essential in protecting your eyes from harmful UV rays. And sunglasses aren't just for adults.
Before your child is one year old, you should take your baby to your doctor of optometry for his or her first thorough eye examination. Things that the optometrist will test for include excessive or unequal amounts of nearsightedness, farsightedness, or astigmatism and eye movement ability as well as eye health problems.

Dr. Bugg and her staff are very honest and professional! My wife, who wears glasses, has used her for several years and now takes my daughters there for routine exams. They work with our insurance and are always upfront about any costs that may be incurred. They always go above and beyond to make sure they my family is taken care of and not only check their vision but make sure their eyes are healthy. I recommend Dr. Bugg and her staff at Mayfield Family Eye Care to everyone whether they think they need glasses or not.

We are so grateful for Dr Bugg as well as her staff! I have 2 teenage kids, and we all love the experience we have when we go. She is very knowledgeable and always takes time to explain the test/exam she is doing as well as what she finds. The variety of frames for all of us is great. We always have so many options that we love. They are very prompt with appointments and respectful of your time. Anytime we have needed anything in between yearly exams, she is always willing to accommodate us. Transitioning from glasses to contacts with the kids was easy with their help. We would highly recommend

The staff here are amazing!! I have been coming here since I was little and my prescriptions have always been spot on!! I’ve had contacts from here and glasses and use them everyday for classes, homework, driving, etc. Dr. Bugg is always so friendly and cares about her patients. Tiffany Lamb has also helped me for years pick out glasses that fit and look great on me! Truly recommend going here!!

Wait times are short, exams are thorough and all questions are answered (where you can understand!!). I've been fitted for glasses and contacts here and both experiences were top notch!

We LOVE Dr. Kelly Bugg and her staff!! My kids have gone to her since they were tiny!! She is kind and caring and makes their eye appointments fun!! They always love going to the eye doctor because of Dr. Bugg!! She is also efficient and professional and takes the time to confirm her findings!! We won’t go anywhere else for eye care!!

The staff at Mayfield Family Eye Care are wonderful! Everyone is efficient, kind and professional. My wait time is never long and my supplies are always handled with the utmost care! If you’re looking for a caring and knowledgeable eye doctor, Dr. Bugg is it! She is so sweet and the entire staff is super helpful! I love how thorough she is and explains things to where people who don’t have a medical degree can understand! We won’t go anywhere else, Mayfield is fortunate to have her!
