Poehailos, Dupont & Associates is a mental health practice made up of a multidisciplinary team of licensed, experienced professionals whose goal is to provide high quality assessment, consultation and family-based treatment services to children, adolescents, families and adults in the Central Virginia region.

Services
Anthony W. Poehailos, M.D. is a licensed physician, board certified in both child and general (adult) psychiatry. He has extensive clinical, administrative and supervisory experience throughout the spectrum of child and adolescent mental health services including outpatient, inpatient, partial/day treatment, residential and school consultation.
We believe that the majority of child and adolescent difficulties are best understood and treated within the context of the family system. Our approach is health and competence based rather than disease oriented. This service protocol is designed to evaluate and intervene in the context of the family system, even though a child or adolescent may manifest the most problematic functioning.
Our practice includes a Child Psychiatrist and two Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioners. The CMA's primary duties will be to support these professionals and assist them in managing the clinical-administrative responsibilities associated with their practices. This will involve utilizing the practice's Electronic Health Records (EHR) system and managing some of the responsibilities associated with this system.
