This instrument is used to see the ear canal and ear drum to determine if there is any ear wax obstructing the canal. Many times the Hearing Care Professional will have a video otoscope so you can see inside your ear as well! One test is a pure tone hearing test. This test is conducted in a quiet environment, many times in a soundproof booth, where you wear headphones that are connected to an audiometer.
Complete the brief questionnaire below to see if you or a loved one may be experiencing some degree of hearing loss. Evaluate each of the 10 questions carefully and answer honestly. The questionnaire represents only a portion of the actual evaluation questions HearUSA professionals use to build a diagnosis and should not be used to determine a final course of action other than seeking further evaluation by a Hearing Care Professional.

The audiologist was very helpful in explaining the results of my hearing test -- which my original audiologist didn't do. She also explained the different types of hearing aids and what they can do. This is all new to me since I am a first-time hearing aid customer -- so I really appreciated the time she spent explaining all this to me.
