Q: Why should you have your septic tank pumped out and when? A: Having a pump out schedule, is the long term way to protect your system tank and drainfield from early failure and thus to protect you from septic system backups. The time in between pump outs will vary based on the size of your tank and the amount of usage, but we recommend having your tank pumped out every 2-3 years.
If properly designed, constructed, and maintained, your septic system can provide long-term effective treatment of household wastewater. If your septic system isn't maintained, you might need to replace it, costing you thousands of dollars. A malfunctioning system can contaminate groundwater that might be a source of drinking water.
If you have completed Steps 1 & 2 then Nordic Pumping will clean your tank for between $450 and up depending on travel time, weather and location of tank. Septic systems that have not been properly maintained for a long period of time may incur additional costs for extra gallons and extra labor costs.

What a great experience! Honest family run buisness. They gave me a window for the service and arrived promptly. They helped me pump out a full and hard tank. They charged me a reasonable amount as I had been used to paying in the past. Left me with clear understanding of how and when to pump next. So glad I have them in my town.

As everyone knows, it is hard to find good contractors in Steamboat Springs. Nordic Septic Pumping is definitely an exception to the norm. Tom and Allie treated us with respect and professionalism and stopped what they were doing to provide service to us when we had a house filled with company. If you were to choose another pumping contractor, you are probably making a mistake. Keep up the good work.
