I started my business as a wedding photographer 13 years ago and while I still enjoy photographing weddings, my passion is creating beautiful artwork that tells a family's story. My own family experience deeply impacts my process as a photographer. That insight flows through my camera with all of the split-second decisions that are made as I adjust my settings to capture clients in a natural and flattering way.
And it spills into my interactions during photo shoots, helping my clients to feel at ease in front of the camera. As a parent, I'm always thinking about what I can do to make experiences more fun for my kids and for me! And I really like this mama's approach to her family portraits. She chose Beaver Street in Sewickley where we could stop by a park, walk by storefronts on the sidewalk, and if they were good, she promised a visit to the bakery where her 4-year old twins could pick out a treat.

Can't say enough good things about Kate and Captivating Imagery! She did a fantastic job capturing our employees. We work with pets and wanted to incorporate our staff's dogs in a pictures. That can be a challenge, but Kate was easy to work with and we ended up with some fantastic, professional and cute photos. We've incorporated all her shots onto our website and use them in our social media content. I would highly recommend her for all types of photography, but especially if you're a small business looking for some professional photography to help your branding!

Kate at Captivating Imagery was simply amazing. I was apprehensive about getting our photos professionally taken, but she calmly guided us through the whole process and I couldn’t be happier with the result. Our images are perfect, and I finally have a family picture to hang on our wall! I wish I hadn’t waited this long to make the investment. Kate is also amazing with kids (I have very active 4 year old twins!) and I appreciated her kindness and expertise. Highly recommended!

Kate photographed our engagement session and wedding. She was always a delight to work with and the photos she took are just incredible. We had to postpone our wedding three times due to Covid, and each time we postponed, Kate was always accommodating and understanding. I cannot recommend Kate enough!!!

We recently hired Kate to take some pictures of our family including our newborn son. This is the second time we hired Kate since she did such a great job with the pictures she provided during the photo shoot with our first born back in 2019. She was very responsive and receptive to any ideas, props, locations or times that we proposed while she was at our house. Both times Kate arrived on time and was able to obtain some awesome pics of the family, including some winter wonderland ones since it was snowing that day. They will be treasured pictures. This is quite a feat when you are dealing with

Kate is incredible! She has taken newborn photos for both of our sons in the past two years, and each time has been an amazing experience from start to finish. She is very quick to respond to questions, and she was very patient, calm, and easy to chat with during each photo session.
As part of our session, Kate also presented us with a customized photo book and print options from our session so we could visualize how to use our photos. The pictures were so beautiful I almost cried (ok, I definitely cried)! We really appreciate the natural and understated beauty of her work and highly, HIGHLY recommended

We found Kate online when looking to do our first family Christmas card. She was so patient with our 1 month old as he went through multiple diapers and impromptu feeding all in a 1 hour time slot. She was able to play to his mood and capture his attention long enough for absolutely beautiful photos. We can’t wait to work with her again!

My husband and I found Kate about 4 years ago after our son was born. Since then, we have been in awe with her and her talent. I had such an amazing experience with Kate Miller for my engagement photography session and for my wedding day photography! She went above and beyond to capture these important moments. Our first engagement session got rained out and she was so wonderful about rescheduling to make sure we had beautiful photos. Kate took the time to get to know us as a couple and what was most important to us for her to capture. We sat down and made a list of all the important moments and family portraits.
